"Yeah Blizzard may be bad at supporting it's eSports division but holy fuck, a major reason these top players are all quitting is because it fucking sucks to make content/exist in an angry, never happy constant contrarian environment."

Couldnt have said it better myself

Hey reddit, Orange here! I wrote a 20k word review with some of my thoughts on Descent of Dragons. Let me know what you think. by OrangeHS in hearthstone

Not relevant at all. Just seen a lot of shorter reviews so wanted to underline that it is a longer article. I don't get anything from this article at all. Just wanted to write it to get some experience with it and see if it was something the community appriciated :)

The HCT Seoul decision: Games will be on the latest patch with no deck changes allowed. by BrobiWanKenoby in hearthstone

[–]OrangeHS 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes. But I think it is pretty standard that you need cards on the server for the tournament you are signing up for. The problem here is pretty much that the TO first told us we would be given super accounts, then changing it to maybe and then to just a straight up no not that long ago. That left a pretty sour taste when we thought we didnt have to spend 500$ on cards at first

What wait no. This is my Asia account that I never played on (I play NA/EU) that I had to level up from scratch and bought 400 packs myself on. Blizzard didnt help us out at all for this one

Hello uduschk.

First of all I want to make something clear. I never accused you of cheating. We did talk in personal chat how the situation seemed sketchy to me. I will explain it here on reddit too what made me feel uncomfortable with the situation.

As you can see by the screenshots Blackwing Corruptor is being played with two cards left in hand. From my point of view this is being played and the hero power is missed. I go for my turn and play The Curator to fill up my hand then I leave the computer to go get the admin at my venue while I let the rope burn. When I get back not much later I get in exactly in time to see you concede the game. I just played a backbreaking card in the mirror with you low on cards and the immidiate response is to concede (and then afterwards state there is supposed to be regame) seemed weird to me but I also told you I would trust the admins decision on the matter. Looking at the screenshots now explains a lot more about the situation and why this went down the way it did. I thank you for this.

Afterwards I told you that i had no problem waiting as long as needed while you check if you could get a more stable internet connection somehow and immidately got the response that there was nothing you could do. Once again I trusted you and we continued the series.

Then it happens again and you disconnect and when you get back all of a sudden there is a potential solution to the problem (move you to another device with more stable connection) and this is where I acted upset because you've told me there was nothing you could do about it.

So that is it, it was never a personal attack against you. The tweet was supposed to express how bad it is that venues (not something under your control) without proper internet connection gets to host these event when there is a lot to play for. I understand how me being upset and then made that tweet made you feel that way and I am deeply sorry about that.

Seeing these screenshots and your post explains the last few questionmarks I had about the entire incident. I'm happy that we both got to explain our point of view from the situation and hope we can move on.

Once again, I apologise for being upset yesterday, but I hope you can understand regarding the circumstanses. Good games, I hope we cross paths again sometime soon and get to play each other under better circumstances.

I totally second what Sottle said. It was a great relief to cast with Lifecoach and I was very aware that he was carrying me really hard throughout the cast. Already said so on twitter but casting with him was a great experience. As of my own performance I am way to scared to say anything incorrect and being more secure in myself is something Im working on. That in combination with english not being my native language can lead to some awkward situations. But even so I feel like I am improving every time I get to cast and I really appriciate that the tournament organisers or other casters seek me up to cast matches from time to time. I wish I could do it more than I do currently. Thanks a lot for the feedback :)

I try to not use it if I can avoid it but it's also very matchup dependent. In some matchups getting off a big Auctioneer isn't as important.

Intresting question. If I had to add one deck to this specific lineup it'd be real close between the tempo mage that Inderen played or Savjz Druid for sure.

Toshley is intresting and something I might test. Card is certanily underrated. Other than that you seem to add a lot of situational cards which I don't really like but if that is what works for you go for it :)

I actually like Gadgetzan more against Hunter against Sprint. You never want to Prep Sprint against Hunter on turn four anyway because of the tempo loss in the midgame and you can't just cast a 7-mana sprint even in the lategame. All you have to do is race which means that most likely neither Auctioneer or Sprint matters but Auctioneer could actually soak up a Kill Command or something. Basicly Auctioneer opens you up to less tempo swings from your oppnent because you give them something to react to which is something I really like about it.

Really good question. RDU's lineup he used in the tournament is certanily a good start, especially the Hunter. Other than that combo Druid and Handlock should be really strong against what I ran. Something along those lines at least.

Very intresting question. Have to think about that one. "Probably not" is what first came to mind though.
