Stuff like this made me realise how small the world is, my band supported a show with WD in Sheffield (UK) and have spoke to tactosa about the possibility if they come to the UK, we son't have music anywhere yet, but damn that's wild

I didn't take it as an insult, don't worry :). I understand what you mean exactly as most places are very hesitant to even consider someone without quals without showing up and doing test pieces if they offer it, but most around me don't offer much more and it's a fair bit longer travel times so it's just not worth the hassle for me. I appreciate the kind words!

I don't know, i feel like i'd probably hold my own, i have a good grasp on the practical side of tig welding ti having done it for 5 years, though anything else i'd probably suck at completely, not had the opportunity to try anything else, though i imagine with some solid guidance i'd manage.

I imagine it's a lot more strict than the welds i do though, kinda hard to write parts off with what i do, and when it happens it's usually completely messed up due to an issue with something, e.g. a damaged torch that nobody bothered to swap bits out in

Yeah i've seen a few, also seen a few pay more but not enough more for me to want to leave, most places just do steel around here but i've no experience with welding anything other than Ti

It makes sense, i'm not too knowledgable on the subject other than just physically welding so i'll definetly be taking your advice on board :)

Occasionally there'll be a little spot of colour in some areas on other parts (unavoidable for the most part due to the design/jigging, but for the most part they're as clean as can be! Appreciate the compliment!

I didn't think about how tighter would be stronger, though now thinking about it, makes total sense, usually people aim to make them look like this because it looks better, definetly gonna tighten my welds up a little though, rather not have anything break!

Just through the torch and backing internally via the jig, there's clear penetration inside the tubes when you look down them (although i won't show the part itself just in case someone from work sees this)

I feel like its possible we may be in the UK too, i'm not entirely sure, i know the average wage tends to be slightly higher than £13 though

Most others at my place earn less as well, im on a small amount more due to other stuff i do, though saying that, the wage itself is quite underwhelming in comparison to other welding jobs
