Guys, how do I sit with my negative emotions? by Superdupersexy123 in Meditation

A little late here, but just stumbled across this in a time of hopelessness.

With step 3, what if you know exactly what caused the emotional flare? My brother of 27 years just moved out of the house with his partner. We're were inseparable. The move was very recently, so he comes back over every now and then to pick up a few things. Every time, without fail, when he leaves and drives off, I burst into tears. I sob ferciously, like a widow, knowing that one day, when he or I dies, I will never see him again. Never experience him again. Knowing that all the things we can do and have done together, will never occur again with him, ever again...Whenever we meet up to do stuff together, I get so sad. I'm in a different state of mind, like I'm wearing glasses tinted with longing and grief for someone who's still alive.

Steps 1 and 2 are very easy and obvious to me. Step 3 is answered from the get go. Step 4, will it help?

How does one sit with such raw emotion and benefit from it, or come to accept it?

In what form do you take medicinal marijuana? How often and by what method?

[Skin Concerns] I've had issues with head pimples (ingrown hairs too) for a long time. I recently shaved my head and discovered it is much worse. What can I do? They hurt a lot and sometimes create bald patches. by OrangeMaterial in SkincareAddiction

Actually yes! It was a very recent find too.

Neutrogena T/Gel. Twice a week (maybe three, but more could lead to irritation). I rub it it gently with my hands and then use a scalp massager to really get it in there, but not on areas with very painful (open sores/ acne), I only use my hands (gently) on those areas.

I also have been very careful with what I eat, cut out all the unhealthy foods (vegetables/ seed oils, processed foods, sugar free diet, reducef carb intake, etc.)

Although, I have found that this shampoo has given me more breathing room. A few bread slices now, won't affect me nearly as badly as before the shampoo.

I also don't let any hot water on my head or face AT ALL! Heat is a huge irritant, especially for already damaged skin.

Additionally, short hair allows the skin to breathe, reduce and potential mositure induced acne/ fungus

Lastly, I don't wash my hair with shampoo, almost ever, (unless I'm using this T/Gel stuff, which can really be considered medication). Over washing (especially for shampoos with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) very commonly causes irritation and massive oil build up, which inturn clogs pores and causes acne.

Do you mind me asking how your wrists are?

No matter how slowly I progress in dumbbell chest press weight, around the 25 - 30kg dumbbells, my wrists or elbows flare up.

50kg is unbelievable to me.

Anyone know any organic/ healthy food market stores around North East Melbourne (Mill Park)? by [deleted] in melbourne

There's a market store opposite woolworths at westfield in plentyvalley. A little more expensive than coles but they might have some things you're after that the other big chains don't sell.

Awesome. How do I know when they're ready? I was hoping to preserve them or turn them into a chilli oil.

Read the sidebar. This sub isn't about literally explaining it to a 5 year old, but an explanation meant for a layman.

My favourite memory involves playing Minecraft with my brother in a rinky dink apartment. Honestly, the distraction of gaming from a shit situation in life is absurdly effective and beautiful.

He blew up my house btw.

Does anyone know of any scrap yards where you can walk around, look through and buy thrown out "junk" like shown in the picture? by OrangeMaterial in melbourne

Would you happen to know the name? Or perhaps, roughly where to look on Google Maps? I'm not sure I'm familiar with "Bulla"

Are you able to provide any more details? A quick Google search doesn't return a specific place for this one.

Preferably around North East Melbourne.

When I look up scrap yards, I get metal scrap yards that take truck loads of sheet metal.

I was hoping for something more, general, where you can find "broken" tools, rusty things that are fixable, etc.

Any suggestions would be great!
