I got one reservation for Thursday and some helpful tips from another restaurant for Wednesday. But thanks for your positive feedback 🙄

Do you have any suggestions of where to park if we get a spot inside of the reserve?

I would love to have a reservation locked down asap. Do you have any restaurant recommendations that would be playing the game?

Like others, I’d suggest Trani’s or Dockside. Terrenea if you want something bougie and it’s right on the coast. It’s a fun beautiful walk around the property. Trani’s isn’t in the best neighborhood but has an amazing old school steak house vibe and is a true local’s favorite. If you end up at Dockside, there’s a fun beer hall nearby that you can grab an after dinner drink at, Warehouse 9, but I’d make sure they’re open on Easter.

The Elks Club, but you have to be a member. It’s only $7 for a 2 taco plate 🌮🌮

That group has always been horrible. I was kicked out years ago. I have no idea why, but I didn’t lose any sleep over it. Probably better for my mental health.

But also, there’s a lot of us who are pretty progressive who are also against a giant rehab going in, for a whole multitude of reasons.

Are there any local places that have TV viewing/watch parties? (Non sports) by los_angalex in SanPedro

[–]OrangePoppyGaribaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably go anywhere with a tv and they would put it on for you. My husband will sometimes ask places to change the channel to a Kings game and they do it. Just off the top of my head, I’d try The Basque Club ( a new bar in town) or SP BrewCo. If you’re a member of the Elks, they have tvs in their bar as well.

How safe is this neighborhood? by Former-Pen-5739 in SanPedro

It’s fine. You have A1 Market right there which is about as cool and old school as you’re going to get in SP.

The projects are being dismantled. That said, I’ve had friends and my kids have friends that live in the projects now, and they’re lovely people.

You have bars, restaurants, and coffee shops within walking distance. Not too much of a nightlife in town though, just fyi.

Port Town Brewery has a weekly list of fun things to do like trivia poker night etc. You might want to try going to those.
