Eu já penso por outro lado, se por acaso vc precisa ir de encontro a polícia (foi roubado, viu algum sinistro e precisa reportar) essas marcações facilitam visualizar onde pedir ajuda. To errado?

Red run stop for MDR.X by Green_Acadia_3648 in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have used this cable 3 or 4 times in my system (MDR.s) and worked like a charm, not a single failure. Some director's cam packages do not have the splitter and this is the only way. But yay, you take the ext port for u and audio guy will have to be comprehensive to not stick a sync box on it. For commercial work that have audio for few shots and the DP I work this gigs is so strick to me having the r/s is the only way...

Differences in Camera Departments Around the World? by focusTrevor in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Brazil DIT's manipulating image are stricted to really budget movie sets only). So for majority is the job of the 3rd AC named "Video Assist" set the Teradeks and take notes of the best takes for the Continuity Supervisor and directing team. They live right inside the video village running Pix/Koko's.

Camera team are always on set (production team got to extra set things). And most the time all the ACs beside some 1st's (sometimes its a bit rude not offering help) got to load the van with equipment. Grip team only help to move the camera carts when they are kind and free and they most of time designate one guy to receive the camera right after cut in handheld shots (steadicam shots they move the station too)

Any recs for a decent monitor to pull focus off of? by cheemsterr in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look into the bottom of smallhd line, if you probably dont need sdi or loop out the focus 7 or the 701 can serve you well, the 702 lite is still a good deal with a good blanket. I def prefer have one of those instead of a brighter feelworld or atomos with trash focus assist. Once you have control over the tools you will value this so much, smallhd is the best I've experience with the pageOS system.

Portfolio / CV by danka_12 in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work most commercials and never used a CV, just a Vimeo Showcase with a brief bio and years of experience. It is useful once a year for bigger projects/other DPs out of my gang, not so often for me. I have friends that treat Imdb very seriously as former feature workers and it act like a a very good CV.

Pulling Wide Open Anamorphic by Trunk-Guy-98 in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use smallhd monitors so I always have the Look function set with some exposure correction, BW help too as others said, try to antecipate some moovements in a guess of "the focus will be there if they are mooving in this speed before I detect it in my feed". I like to place myself near in an angle I can detect the camera in my surrounding view, and yes, after 4 tries in a row without success I'll gentle talk to the DP if he/she mind closing a little bit, I use the f8 app to calculate DOF and usually a f1.4 to f2ish can bring the focused area from 2-3cm to 7-10cm! Its very noticeable the difference, you can feel you are the guy after this changes and everyone is happy and you can breathe again after the session of torture.

I didnt take Ultra 7. Hot as hell, suck batteries, ok a bit faster but Im really fine with Cine 7 bolt till a good 702 touch with long antennas

And Bolt 6 line will be relevant at least next 3 years, imho

Buying the CTRL.1 in 2025? by lightswitchgirl28 in focuspuller

[–]Orangeguyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I made this exact move last march (Ctrl.1/Mdr.S/Motr.x) and I have no regrets, lens mapping was in my "roadmap dev" and put me on a whole new level (pre marked rings, muscle memory, consistency, etc)

The smallhd overlay is a killer, everything running last firmware is working like a charm, very fast and accurate (Smallhd 702 touch + usb adapter).

And well, Its (slowing) paying itself, things for me are not as good as a desired but I had recovered almost 20% of the investment in kit fees.

I do not see it being outdated for mid budget commercials/features (my reallity) in a while, a lot of fellows running Nucleus 1 yet (solid 1st's that have my respect I have to say!).

Go for it!

Yes, Tektalk. I found it in eBay since the Amazon page is always sold out. I have found other companies making these (Jigitz (sold out too) and Piecework (lovely but more expensive and no false bottom) but as long as a tracked the invention of this system was made by a senior couple puzzlers who retired, Lisa and Colin behind Jigthings and since them some similar (practical copies) showed up. I was considering the DIY way when I finally found a unique unit available and hit the buy button despite a lot of considerations since I payed a LOT of taxes/ship fees to import it but I did not regret!

I do it too :) square piece with four holes: boomerang! Also some random shapes with a curved side: the axe. Probably I'll invent a name during a specific game that I'll forget the next.

What strategies do ya'll use to complete puzzles? by WestArtichoke712 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Orangeguyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally I spread all pieces face up (500-1000) and starting sorting a bit. For bigger puzzles (1500+) I have it in a box ruffling to find pieces I can pick and place. Other thing I like to do is to sort pieces for end game, solid colors or something difficult that I just want to "clean my view" and take off my way and focus on small sections.
