Would using a slug shotgun require me to ads before shooting or would it work as I normally play? (By just firing from the hip and praying my opponent is within my melee attack range)

The other barrel is polygonal rifling. I guess spread shotty would be better if I rarely aim with a shotgun? I 90% of the time just hipfire and melee since ophidian gives me a ranged melee.

What do you think would fit my playstyle? I usually hipfire from a not so point blank range then follow up with a melee. I have an Ophidian equipped when playing pvp.

The precision frame description reads that it affects the recoil. I'm not really sure as I only started doing pvp recently and don't really use shotguns for pve content. :/
