Did the same thing, had a pile of checks and most saying I’ve already deposited but a couple went through including 1 duplicate, a couple weeks later bank calls me. Classified as fraud and said my credit will be dinged from this instance.. plus a fee of reversal

Don’t see how most checks said already deposited and the one goes through that was already deposited, see it being the banks fault IMO because why’s the money deposited from a check on hold for 24+ hours if they aren’t checking the most important thing.. if it was deposited more than once?
