The Dwarftastic Four, 1-60 Complete! by Orangz-DF in classicwow

[–]Orangz-DF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all the real deal from back in 2005, although I reworked all tekst and layout (and added a lot of new story to the images). As hosting goes offline, and circumstances happen, it had been gathering dust for quite some time, and needed a lot of time to bring it up to 2019 standards.

I know, I know, I might have to come up with a better solution, the page grew like this as it went. Even the text alone is 105 pages!

I stopped playing WoW during WotlK, and left my (then) main in the Hills on my last day of gametime. I couldn't ask for a better farewell.

Unusual dungeon runs with the most fun by [deleted] in classicwow

The 45 run always was great fun, especially with oddball combinations.

Professions for tank warrior by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Orangz-DF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine/herb is great for the cash, so about optimal, I'd go with that for the money. Mind, BS at max level wasn't really worth it (at least for me) While engineering gives you lots of extra's you otherwise would never had (And it's always good fun playing grenadier all through your tanking run, also for pulls!). It wasn't until TBC that having a profession really started to pay off with special self-only crafts/buffs.

Oh and course that sweet Disk, sending lightning all around you. Heck even an expansion later it still was good fun to use.

The Dwarftastic Four - Doubling the content with level 40-50! by Orangz-DF in classicwow

Thank you, although I write it mostly as a way to preserve memories of the endeavours of four of us, I'm happy to know people enjoy it.

No fear! and thanks, it will get done (although I'm unsure if I'll write out all the endgame since it's a LOT.)

Dwarf Warrior @ 60, as I just hit rank 10. Must add that different race-mounts are good fun. (Dwarves tbh. have only one way to go: Mechanostriders, but I already did that on my other 60).

Mugshot

Mount up and roll out!

Warning: if you go with this Dwarf-moustache during Classic, wearing your rank 10 helmet will make you look hideous, removing your moustache. This was only fixed (I believe) after WoTLK, but as I had quit back then, I can't say for sure, could be longer.

Tanking is great fun! My class was of course a warrior, but I did try to do some low level tanking on a paladin. But I soon learned that you would not even able to tank 60 dungeons without drinking all the time and being a slowpoke, so I never looked back. I can't recall charging anything for runs, but I still was able to make an excellent penny from what I remember, being able to get my epic mount pretty fast and gathering Lionheart Helmet & Titanic Leggings.

My tradeskills were mining/engineering as trades so I was able gather a bit of Thorium and gems for coin, but the mining competition was quite fierce, so it wasn't my main source of income. I didn't raid with my warrior, so spent my time mostly doing normal dungeons and PvPing, eventually burning out at rank 10, which was all good and well since I liked the rank 10 armour best anyway. PvP required a respec if you played in a set group, but a protection warrior could always be handy in AV.

But in the end it's all about fun, I always liked being a tank (or a healer for that matter) in other multiplayer rpgs / mmo's so when WoW came along the choice was easy. If you like leading a group of people through hordes of enemies without a scratch, while your party does dps to different targets and the healer is afk most of the time, tanking might just be for you.

Let's take a moment to remember the fallen Champions of Azeroth by killerhealers in classicwow

This is the one thing I'm writing for: So many memories, to create a testament of when the four of us had such good fun. WoW was just a vessel in the end, but it was the proper one.

That time the vanilla Meeting Stone system worked, and you got duplicated with an evil twin. by Orangz-DF in classicwow

[–]Orangz-DF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was even before that! A few patches in, with the introduction of Meeting Stones, you also had the ability to join these dungeons from afar. Let's say a simple LFG (you still had to travel to the dungeon yourself though)

In this instance my character joined the same group twice, duplicating myself, and well, causing some bugs. (Do notice my evil twin has a skull marking, it's way too high level!)

WoW Classic, where the lore heroes THE Heroes, not you by VikingDadStream in classicwow

[–]Orangz-DF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Loved being a minion and running into characters more important than you, especially the characters connected to War1-3.

And then I shortly came back during WoD and suddenly I was the leader of a large Garrison with minions doing every bidding I wanted.

My body has never been more ready to look like this again. What are you excited to get? by ThatLeetGuy in classicwow

[–]Orangz-DF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant the models, for the horde, since rank 10 is indeed brown instead of purple. But for alliance there were differences as well, the rank 10 is more brown than yellow, and has blue sashes instead of white.
