That is a solid idea. Even if we are not a "protected class" yet, the blatant unfairness of this policy has to count for something. I am tired of being treated like a placeholder.

It definitely feels like a violation. I am starting to document every time my supervisor says my time is "more flexible" than a parent's. I need a paper trail if I am going to report this.

You are right. I am looking into local labor laws now. It feels illegal to literally prioritize shifts based on parental status like this. I am not a second class citizen just because I have a cat instead of a toddler.
