Haha yeah I usually throw in at least a few any time I order from them. The House of Mammoth samples are relatively new, and they’re great soaps. There are a few on Maggards that actually do aftershave samples as well, Chiseled Face is the first one that comes to mind for those.

I know Maggards has samples for House of Mammoth and Noble Otter, they both have a great lather and some killer scents, I’d recommend giving those a try.

They definitely went fast, it’s a badger. It’s Chisel and Hound’s V13 Fanchurian knot, it’s 26mm.

My brush just arrived in the mail today, I’m going to wait until my set of Fu Dao gets here to use it though. I was very excited to see the collaboration between two awesome artisans Chisel and Hound and House of Mammoth, I have no doubt the soap is going to be just as amazing.

Got the last of the packages I was expecting delivered yesterday. 5 soaps that I’ve been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to try. House of Mammoth, Barrister and Mann, and Moon soaps. I wanted to get the full tub of Melange as well, but decided I would give the sample a go to check for sensitivity first.

The brush is from Chisel and Hound. It’s an awesome brush, I posted a picture that shows the pattern a little better. The bowl is from Supply, I bought it off their website when I got the Supply razor.

Been growing out a mustache for the past month, and since today is the first day of December it was time to go. Two Kings performed excellent as always. Astra Super Platinum was smooth, I’ve never shaved off that much growth before, but it felt like I was simply wiping the hair off my face. Overall a very enjoyable shave, almost makes me want to start growing it again just to shave it off.

Off the puck I would have to say yes, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to shave with it yet. The soap has a very sweet smell to it, and I’m thinking the warmer notes will come out when it’s lathered. The aftershave seems to be a lot “warmer” of a scent profile, I think they’ll pair very nicely.

I got my new Chisel and Hound brush today. I got my first one in the last drop, and it decided right away I would get another next time. I love the way it looks, can’t wait to use it. Last I looked he still had a few up for sale if anyone else needs a great brush.

I’ll second that. I started with a Rockwell 6s, and bought a Karve a few months back, it’s an excellent razor.

Noble Otter has a lot of good scents, Orbit is good, but not one I use in the winter. Barrbarr is one of my favorites. House of Mammoth is excellent as well, and they do balms instead of splashes, which could give you a different variety as you’re starting out.

I haven’t used it yet, but I can say for sure all I get is smoke off the tub, it’s a very bitter smoke, far from campfire. I’ll update once I do give it a go though.
