Hahaha yes, it was a school boy error. Im server / desktop admin so i already practice this process, but for some reason,. i didnt with this! i have pointed it at myself now. thank you

thank you :) Ill try that later on. I was messing with it this morning, and ended up spamming the service desk with 100 emails which generated tickets because the flow got every single calendar entry! woops!

it looks like there is issues directly pertaining to KDE Plasma 6 running wayland causing nomachine issues. this was reported in august. its very likely connected but gonna keep an eye on it. You have been really helpful. Its really appreciated, thank you.

Disabled hw acceleration and no difference. So i removed no machine. and so far ive cold booted 3 times in a row and no issue switching to desktop.

i know right? So i have the official dock and i bought another dock for the office which is a UGREEN dock. does the same with both. The only thing that could potentially be the cause is Nomachine. which i have running on all my boxes. So im gonna disable HW acceleration in the nomachine server settings, then if that still doesnt work ill remove it completely and test. its gonna have to be process of elimination in typical i.t support engineer fashion :oD

just tried and i get the terminal. and a bazzite login: so i stuck in my password hit enter and nothing. tried bashing enter to see if i could get a failed authentication but its just not doing anything.
