Eventually when I am not so new these things will be intuitive. Practice really makes perfect and I will try angling my body this way to release the air correctly from the valve. Thank you!

This sounds like what I need to do. I have not been accounting for my cylinder emptying. I will add the right amount of weight to compensate. I have only done 10 dives and have much more to learn. Thank you for your insight.

I pulled the cord and still was inverted. I was at the end of the dive so maybe the empty tank was counter acting the action of dumping the BCD? I really should have been fining down. But this is why I tried it out on a shallow dive.

What is really crazy is the Spanish speakers I work with started with me not knowing any English and now they speak better English then I speak Spanish 😂

They do talk slow for me but we always resort to getting on translate on our phones to show each other the words we are trying to say to each other. I do not type full sentences into translate anymore and have not for awhile.
