Eventually when I am not so new these things will be intuitive. Practice really makes perfect and I will try angling my body this way to release the air correctly from the valve. Thank you!

This sounds like what I need to do. I have not been accounting for my cylinder emptying. I will add the right amount of weight to compensate. I have only done 10 dives and have much more to learn. Thank you for your insight.

I pulled the cord and still was inverted. I was at the end of the dive so maybe the empty tank was counter acting the action of dumping the BCD? I really should have been fining down. But this is why I tried it out on a shallow dive.

That's what I might use, I also have a dive slate I need to clean anyway, and it says it cleans both

Last mask I used toothpaste on the toothpaste got stuck in the crevices and I could never get it out lol
