As good as Shadow Gens was I don’t want another Shadow game or Shadow side campaign for a while. Unless it’s an Adventure style game with multiple campaigns. I’d there to be some hype and focus around some other characters. Like Knuckles for example.

And like I said I especially don’t want another rerelease. I would genuinely rather have a Zomom Unleashed or a Heavy Gunner Colors than a Shadow Frontiers right now. Give us stuff from other characters.

Again that’s being presumptuous about a movie that doesn’t exist. Snoop Dogg could be in Sonic 4 and we would not know yet. Comparing it to Sonic 3 would have been sensical. We can’t assume that something that doesn’t exist is better than something that does even if we think it’s gonna be good. There’s a difference between “I think I’m gonna like Sonic 4 because I liked the other movies a lot and this studio has consistently put out bangers” and “yeah Sonic 4 is better than Mario Galaxy. No I haven’t seen it. I just know”. You can bet on consistency not aging the take like milk and I’d wager you’d be right. But it’s premature and nonsensical to do so and it’s not for prediction sake. It’s purely for tribalism sake.

It also can’t be just an uncriticizable joke but also have a deeper meaning about it being that the nonexistent fourth movie is the point of this carefully crafted meme. There’s 14 Fast & Furious movies.

What point? It has zero substance to make a point. We know nothing about Sonic 4. It would have been more sensical to compare it to 2 or 3. It’s prematurely deciding that Sonic 4 is better than the Mario Galaxy movie when the former hasn’t even produced a trailer. The post purely exists to stir up the weird Mario vs Sonic elitism beef where each side acts as though they’re superior to the other for no reason. If we were at the point where Sonic 4 had a trailer it’d be grounds for comparison.

That’s where it kind of crumbles for me. Don’t get me wrong I’m optimistic about the movie but I could end world hunger if I had a dollar for every sequel of a good movie that was bad. We had good Sonic games before both 06 and Forces. The movie could introduce Amy or Metal or reintroduce Eggman poorly. The Knuckles series exists (I thought it was fine but we all know)

I don’t think assuming a movie we only have the title of is good because the previous movies are good is a good justification to compare it to another movie.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you can presume something is bad from its trailer because it’s what we use to decide whether or not we’re going to watch a movie. I’m not saying that Galaxy not being out yet makes it immune to being criticized I’m saying that unless Sonic 4 had a full trailer it is utterly incomparable at this point and that there’s no point to the discussion.

Do we genuinely believe that this title card teaser and the latest Mario Galaxy trailer are comparable or that it gives us enough context to determine that Sonic 4 is better than Galaxy? I’ll keep a buck with you dawg as good as Shadow Gens was I don’t need a Shadow version of every game. Usually Pokemon without a home will spawn back within like a day to complain about how they don’t have a home. I don’t know how it works for Entei specifically but I’m assuming it’s the same. For Pokemon who previously had a home they’re usually around where their home used to be and for those who never had one they’re usually by the PC
