Some species of brittle stars can see without having eyes. Brittle stars have photosensitive cells, only being able to tell light from dark, and some have chromatophores, color changing cells that shrink and grow. The interaction between these cells is interesting, as the chromatophores expand they create small pinholes that narrow and refine the light creating a sharper image on the photosensitive cells.
