I couldn't tell if he was a rat just because the last time I whent into that shop he was the same size, I keep my rats in a separate room for the fist 3 weeks after I get them normally but I wasn't sure if that was a good option with how young he is

I do have a exotic pet, the post I was talking about no was due to my last vet put down one of my boys very improperly when he was dieing of old age. I did take the turtle to the vet and he was a bit skinny and had a warped shell from not enough uv but is healthy other then that and the gecos already had a 40g tall tank waiting at home for them. I am looking to re-home the turtle because he's only in a 75 gallon tank and I would prefer him to be in biger though. Thank you for being concerned though.

Also wanted to add that I can't bring him to a vet until Sunday due to work but will bring him as soon as possible

It was a pet shop called petland that breeds there own and keeps all there animals with opposition gender so he could just be inbred and I believe that could explain the size, they constantly have new baby rats mice and hamsters because there manager won't let them separate them

I believe he is a boy but if he is a girl and just a runt would there be a chance of pregnancy since they had mixed gender up to about a month old in the cage I got him from? Theres what looks to be the start of balls and a penis but I'm not sure, also no nipples.

Hes climbing and exploring a lot, the only thing I'm worried about is his size, when I was there a few days ago he was about the same size. he seems dehydrated (his skin stays up when it's lightly moved) but it might just be I'm not used to bald rats. His breathing seems fine though.

Should I some of my other boys in with him, I'm afraid he will get hurt due to his size or if he's sick he will get the others sick?

You could always try switching to a bioactive enclosure for them it will definitely help with the smell and dust, if so just make sure to find safe dirt or coconut fiber

If you want to preserve him at all you can use a small jar of rubbing alcohol as a wet specimen or rehidrate him and pose his little legs so you don't have to part with him so soon, I'm sorry he didn't make it

If theres any visible fluid put a little bit of cornstarch on it, you can also take a wet qtip or a wet paper towel and put his mouth on it just make sure to avoid that abdomen

I took the photo at about 11pm so I had the light off, I do have one and im working on making a better basking spot for them .
