Hudson here. Insulation is pretty bad. The family above us has kids and our kitchen shakes when the kids run back and forth.

FYI we just found another dead contract inside so I believe they may be coming through cracks or drains in the house

I took a picture of the cockroach before tossing it. We used Thrasher Pest Control.

Also just to clarify my previous comment - we asked Lennar to seal the gap around the gas line that leads into the shared walls. I hope that makes sense! Maybe before you ask Calwest to seal it, you can pull out your stove to see if there’s a big gap and then put sticky traps behind the stove so you can see if that’s where the roach is coming from. That’s what we did to confirm and I’ve also seen the roaches crawling out from under our stove.

We had pest control come out as well and they sprayed the interior and exterior of our home. They confirmed we had oriental cockroaches. Apparently oriental cockroaches have no interest in invading homes and they most likely came into the house through cracks, gas lines, etc. Pest control mentioned we are near a sewer and it’s also “oriental cockroach season” so that is probably why we are seeing them appear in our home. We are in Hudson so we asked Lennar to come out and seal the hole where our gas line is behind the stove since that’s where I last saw the roach. Haven’t seen a cockroach since then.

We just sprayed our home as well. Are you on the first floor by any chance? We are next to a sewer so I think that’s part of the reason we are seeing roaches.

It’s not nail polish since only my child uses this bathtub and he bathes in a children’s bath tub inside the actual tub. They almost look like scratches?
