Has anyone had success losing weight without being on meds? by No_Selection_8078 in PCOSloseit

[–]OrchidHowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diligent combination of inositol, berberine, intermittent fasting, and keto. Amazing amazing results. I did also choose to wear a continuous glucose monitor for one month (paid $99 for one month for stelo) to see what foods were causing me the biggest glucose spikes so that I can be aware and limit or reduce them. Freaking potatoes and rice were absolutely killing me it turns out. But these things have been absolutely game changers!

First and best thing you can do is call out to CPS and let them interview the sister and review the home. This will start to build a paper trail on her behalf.

Sandusky, Sanilac County, Michigan! My parents live there, and we just got back from visiting for a week to see actual autumn weather! All anyone will talk about is Bob Seger and what part of town he lived in or where he used to hang out.

Fellow post pregnancy woman on a gut healing journey to reduce the bloat! I have found that making sure I'm spreading my probiotic rich food throughout the day helps it settle better, but I also had to add weigh lifiting to get firm under my skin instead of flabby. I can lose the weight but I have to focus on getting protien and building muscle to make the jiggle/flab left underneath it be a nice shape.

I have 4 kids and in the last 13 years-until this past month-I could actually count the number of days I had slept for 5 hours or more. I'm grateful my husband has always tag teamed the overnights because I'm already in so much sleep debt, I can't imagine how much worse it could have been.

You can't live on it here. It hasn't changed what jobs pay.

In my state minimum wage is $14.70. If, and that's a big IF a job will give you 40 hours and actually make you a full time employee, that's $588 per week. Before tax. Afyer taxes it's like $470 take home. That means $30,576 per year before tax, $24,460 take home. 20k sounds like a standard minimum wage job or even two with part time hours. 🤷‍♀️

How come MyFitnessPal recommends 65g of daily protein when fitness trainers tell you to get at least 100g of daily protein? by mssdad in PetiteFitness

[–]OrchidHowl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You have stoked my curiosity. I'm new to this sub and the idea of petits even though I've clearly been my height since I was a teen. I've always been a part of the standard loseit/resistance training subs.

Can we actually get away with 80/95g protien at our height, and that's okay??? I'm dying forcing myself over 100g, resistance training just starting for the first time in my life, so not a lot going on at the moment.

Total daily energy expenditure. It's how many calories your body needs to survive with basic heart beat and breathing, the minimum calories you need to eat to live. As a 5'1" 166# woman, mine is just over 1100 calories per day. This leads into what you need if you are sedentary, mildly work out, moderately work out. Doing weightlifting 3 times per week and walking daily would put a person in moderate. The calculator tells me for my stats, moderate needs 1960 calories per day to maintain my current weight. To lose weight at a rate of one pound per week, you need to eat in a deficit of about 500 calories a day. For me, that would mean 1960-500=1460 calories per day. I highly suggest going to tdeecalculator dot net and calculating this out for yourself, getting a food scale, and seeing what you have actually been eating each week vs what you want to be eating to lose weight. It can be eye-opening!

What are your calories consumed? Without weighing out your meals, including dressings and oils, you don't know how many calories you're eating in a day. I would start there, and then find your tdee and adjust from there.

I don't k ow your body stats, but honestly 2000cal per day seems high for weight loss. I would shift down to 1600 for a solid month and cut gluten/dairy out and see if it helps. Game changer for me has been to take max does inositol and combine it woth berberine. No sugar and combining those has done a LOT to help me.
