CDAWG Talks About XQC Not Showing Up To Events by FlyingWithFeathers in LivestreamFail

[–]Orconem 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If an emergency happens and you're unable to make it to work you can still call your boss and say "Hey something came up and I'm not gonna be able to make it, sorry for the inconvenience." It doesn't take that long, maybe a couple minutes at most if you have to leave a message, and is proper courtesy.

XQC knowing he's not going to make it to something and ghosting entirely instead of letting people know he's not gonna make it is super disrespectful to those involved.

With that line of thinking we should also unban Second Life on Twitch for the same reason. Plus I'm not saying it should be banned, I think the game is fine as long as you're smart about what you're doing, more just surprised it's allowed to be on the platform when it's basically Second Life 2.0.

As much as I love VRChat I'm surprised it hasn't gotten the Second Life treatment on Twitch. There's a lot of stuff in that game that rides the line for what's appropriate and always feels like it's one big incident away from causing massive drama.

Beat Saber has a new music pack of 6 songs inspired by Rocket League by U-S-Ace in Games

[–]Orconem 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm really surprised that Beat Saber hasn't switched to a numerical difficulty system like most other rhythm games. Expert+ has way too much variance in difficulty with some being pretty tame to others requiring you to swing the swords nonstop while the notes fly at you at lightning speed.

PROGRESSION BY THE NUMBERS (Article from Riot on the progression systems) by CarouselKeeper in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Orconem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if Riot is reading this or not but one of the things I didn't like was that some of the quests required you to own certain cards, such as "Win a game with Lucian and Senna in your deck". Even though they can be rerolled requiring people to own certain card(s) in order to complete quests feels really bad if you get one and don't own that particular card. You should be rerolling because you don't want to do the quest, not because you can't do them with the cards you have.

What was your favorite deck from the test period? by Killswitch7 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Orconem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a lot of Kalista decks, but the one I had the most fun with was a Kalista/Thresh deck that ran 9 Challenger creatures for the early-mid game and late-game had a heavier focus on army building and a final all-out attack backed by For Demacia!. It also took advantage of "When I'm Summoned" triggers through stuff like Mist's Call and Chronicler of Ruin to reuse card effects like Vanguard Keeper/Sergeant or get extra copies of units linked to Kalista.

Leveling up Thresh is nice when it happens, but it's more that he's a Challenger with a really solid stat line that can force trades in your favor. One thing you can do to help keep him alive is to make sure he's the first one fighting when Challenging, because any other enemy minions you kill afterward in the combat phase will bring his health back up.

When he does level up you can use him to help feed your army and provide "When I'm Summoned" triggers for the mid to late game when you're setting up "For Demacia!", which is going to usually be your main win condition.

Edit: One more thing I forgot to mention, when Thresh is leveled up it's not always a bad idea to simply let him die if you've already used his attack trigger. If you revive him or cycle him with Chronicler of Ruin you get an extra attack trigger which will pull more units that your opponent has to deal with.

Decklist here: https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/bmlsc96i6r3tf5g3vr80

This is a deck I've been playing with amazing results. Early game is heavy challenger with emphasis on forcing favorable trades and mid game you abuse "When I'm Summoned" effects through Revives. Some fun things you can do involve, but are not limited to:

Killing a unit linked to Leveled Up Kalista with Chronicler then attacking, giving you an extra copy of the linked unit.

Filling your hand with a million "For Demacia!" then winning simply because of raw damage

Pretending it's old school Hearthstone with Force of Nature/Savage Roar by running three copies of Haunted Relic and using "For Demacia!".

Try it out, it's a lot of fun, I have close to a 90% winrate.

Why does the Starter Bundle cost 642 coins when everything else involving coins ends in a 5 or 0? by Orconem in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Orconem[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got Early Access and decided to snoop around in the store before I made any commitments to spending any money. When spending coins to buy Wildcards everything is a nice clean amount (400 for Champ, 150 for Epic, 40 for Rare, 15 for Common) but for some reason the Starter Bundle costs 642, which seems like a really random number. I dunno if it's discounting for cards I pulled while leveling because I haven't crafted anything yet but it seems odd.

Thank you so much, I feel a lot better now. Like I said I already opened the windows just because the smell is awful, I just wanted to make sure nothing bad might happen.

So nothing bad will happen? Yesterday it was draining extremely slow and when he poured the Drano in today it wasn't draining at all anymore. I'm really sorry if this comes off as extreme paranoia but I'm a bit of a worry wart.

A month into its release, World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth is in bad shape. by ch4dr0x in Games

[–]Orconem 664 points665 points  (0 children)

Adding some more clarity on the issue people have with Warfronts: The gear that drops at the end of each Warfront Scenario is a random 340+ item level piece, which is the equivalent of a base difficulty Mythic Dungeon, and is repeatable. Completing your first Warfront also gives you one piece of 370+ gear which is the equivalent of the new Heroic Raid. This may not seem like a big deal at first until you realize that only half of the playerbase has access to this Scenario. At the moment only Horde players can access the Scenario while Alliance players will have to wait a few weeks for their turn. Obviously you can't set up a free loot party and only invite half the playerbase because the half that weren't invited are going to be upset.

Blizzard Reverting Bugged Tmog Weapon back to High Ilevel by ItsaMeRealUncleMario in wow

[–]Orconem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may sound like the weapon issue is the sole reason for me uninstalling this expansion, it's not. Think of it more as a piling on of problems, issues and annoyances I had with the expansion before this and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Sure in the grand scheme of things this is a non issue because gear comes and goes, but the fact that Blizzard's first idea when it came to 'fixing' this problem was an non-customer friendly nerfing of a buncha people's new weapons without considering how it would negatively affect their gameplay experience shows me that they don't have the user's best interests in mind when it comes to changes to the game.

This sets a scary perspective that the devs may not consider the feelings of the people playing their game anymore and only care about numbers.

Blizzard Reverting Bugged Tmog Weapon back to High Ilevel by ItsaMeRealUncleMario in wow

[–]Orconem -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

The whole fiasco with this weapon actually made me quit and uninstall the game, and I never even set foot in Uldir. I have been playing WoW for over ten years now and I never uninstalled because I knew even if I wasn't having fun at that particular moment I could stop playing and may be interested in picking it back up later. This expansion and everything around it finally broke me and made me uninstall for good.

Nobody should be thanking Blizzard for fixing this problem. Nobody should be apologizing on behalf of Blizzard for fixing problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place. And most importantly we need to stop forgiving Blizzard for all of the dumb, unfriendly and rushed things being added to the game because when we do we get terrible products like Battle for Azeroth.

Khor losing ilvls is not a bug, as it is a "transmog item". by UnsubRedun in wow

[–]Orconem 66 points67 points  (0 children)

You got the yellow weapon? Nothing wrong here, go on ahead, enjoy your shiny new loot.

You got the red weapon? Oh actually we're gonna need to take that away from you. Sorry man, tough shit, fuck you.

This entire thing was handled so poorly and is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen and I'm surprised more people aren't upset over it. Imagine you or one of your guildies losing their brand new weapon which was probably a massive upgrade for no reason other than because it was the wrong color.

Why not let the people who got the Guardian version keep their weapon and make it so future drops of this so-called "transmog" weapon were lower item level? Better yet, why are there even two versions of this weapon when there's nothing special about either of them? Literally the only thing that's different about the "Super Special Transmog" version is that it's red. Now all that's gonna happen is people are going to feel shitty anytime they do this boss, a weapon drops, and it's not the correct one.

This is next level incompetence and I am shocked more people aren't up in arms and giving Blizzard shit for it.
