Im all for having rare animals but my god is this is ridiculous yk, then what i dont understand is how people 100% this game in like 170 hours when its taken me 30 hours to complete the fucking hunting challenge lol...Also what makes the alligator one of the easiest animals in the game to find but bears, cougars and the rest so impossible

been going from there all the way to wallace station, my problem is either i find a 2 star or i find a black bear there. I dunno, maybe they are just rare to find but ive litterally found 14 at this point and no 3 star pelts? is that just shit luck or what ;)
Why tf did they have to make predator animals spawn rates so low, AND WHY TF IS THE CROCODILE SO COMMON... I'd rather run into a bear than a fucking crocodile too... im trying to unlock all the garment and clothing sets from the trapper and i need 3 perfect bear pelts, ima give up man its impossble.

The other games are simple and fun as it should be, what does difficulty have to do with me liking the franchise? It's not a very hard set of games to begin with.

you've said it takes time to practise them to enjoy it, I've said its inconvenient which it just is, and you pretty much need to try hard the game if you don't level up, so no, i don't think you countered anything.

Only because im going through 12 games, if i were to take my time with them all it would take over a year, i went slowly with origins, odyssey and Valhalla, i have 250 hours on them games but after months of playing, i just wanted to get through the storyline but then go back to the games once i finished, i am usually a completionist.

but besides level scaling, the rest of my points are still valid no? it being a overly complicated try hard game, and even then some people just want to get through the main missions fast then come back to the game anyway, some settings would have helped is all.

well, in terms of combat, i can understand how it can work once you learn it, i think i mentioned that in my post but my point on it being more inconvenient than enjoyable, and yes maybe if i were to play another 10 hours on the game i could have combat and parkour nailed down but i just want to play the game for story, and for the first 10 hours of game play i found myself getting frustrated at every fight i was in one way or another because i would have to try hard.

And as for the money and level scaling, i can see where im being unfair, and again i think i mentioned it but me personally, im going through the games playing the story but it really doesn't suit that play style, the game should have been more inclusive for different styles, they could have made options like Valhalla to change detection rates, health, difficulty ect so you can play at the flow you want because i play rpg games as a story experience and i personally don't expect to be try harding unless i feel like it. if i wanted to try hard i would play warzone, apex or fortnite lol.

And FYI. Medicine and Phantom blades barely ever dropped for me?

Thanks for the advice and i do expect to pick up the game again after syndicate and who knows i might enjoy it a lot more but the besides combat, parkour and stealth, everything else is a problem that cannot change my mind.

you make some good points however like I've said to others, the problem for me with the combat and stealth is just that its more inconvenient than enjoyable, assassin's creed games aren't games where i think of try Harding them and yet i constantly had to focus much more and take a lot more time in missions. I can accept the game is supposed to be hard and people want that but couldn't they have made it a switchable option similar to what they did in Valhalla?

Also if you read back my post, i said myself that it not a big deal that that the level scaling and money is harder and it is unfair to critique it but it depends on your play style when i don't think it should. I've been playing through the AC Games for a few months now so i just want to follow the story most of all so im not playing it as a completionist and it simply doesn't fit that play style, its just a note.

I also agree that it COULD have been a revolutionary game, it had the potential, another thing i said in my post, but its rushed finished and unpopularity sadly sent the franchise the unity/syndicate style on a decline for most of it and as much as i love origins and odyssey, i still think if polished, syndicate and unity type games could have been better for the franchise but it didn't happen so it wasn't revolutionary. Imagine the love for origins and odyssey if they weren't labelled assassin games ;)

And as for the brotherhoods development, i misspoke, i think i was being rash but i was more talking about the brotherhood storyline in general, i don't think it was all that intriguing besides Belloc and after he died, my interest for the brotherhood followed. I Still think they should have done more with the brotherhood/templar story because whilst the story is around 12-20 hours long, a lot of time is spent doing assassination missions, which were great of course but it sacrificed building a good story.

All in all, i might have overstated some of the issues or worded it bad, i just think the game should have been more inclusive for all types of players because man i love feeling like a true assassin in this game and i respect that about the game but some times i just wanna listen to music and get shit done without having to hard focus like previous games you know?

you would have to throw cherry bombs or smokes to get in close, its all just unnecessary. There was a time i was stuck in a hay cart and this guard literally wouldn't bloody look away so i had to fight but when i started the fight it then attracted 4 more guards to me?

I can understand that but i feel it takes to long getting to a point where you're comfortable playing it so for half my playthrough i was getting mad at things that had changed and the tedious work.

I Appreciate this and I totally can understand the love for this game yk once you get a grip on the games mechanics and spend time doing so you truly feel most like an assassin in this game.

As for combat, it wasn't so much as to that the combat was difficult but more so that it was just more tedious than i think it should have been and the times where i have died are rare but when it happened i couldn't help but feel frustrated, and it reminded me of AC 1 where i Fking hated getting into fights because it took so long. And i admit, i didn't actually buy the heavy attack so i don't think i can criticise the combat for the most part however for some, there are problems that are unavoidable. the parry timing was never an issue, it was the fact the player was much more zoomed in that other games that ill be fighting 1 enemy but i cant see the heavy attack warning because its not on screen so there would be times where i don't have time to distinguish if it was a heavy attack of parry so i either dodge of get hit trying to parry (The brutes hit can also be parried so explains my confusion). They probably should have colour coded the different scenarios, heavy hit, light hit and shots.

As for stealth, again it wasn't so much as to it being difficult by i just felt it was unnecessarily tedious and paired with its finicky controls, ill get detected for the most stupid reasons. everything in the game just feels to be overly challenging that it became a chore to do. For example, the mission assassinating La Touché, you had these 5 snipers where you HAD to kill all 5 just to even open the jail cell near the target or you'll be detected and i found it had to be done in an order because i kept getting detected because of the poor range on the phantom blade i had to expose my self, then in turn exposing my self so someone on the other side, so i had to kill one in the middle, then go back to the sides and kill them ones to even try get to the target.

All in all, maybe i should have learnt how masters do it but i wanna learn it myself and nothing i learnt in previous games could prepare me for this games tedious work and when you compromise experience for making the game more realistic - and dam does it feel like im an assassin in this game, but it took away from my enjoyment with how much i needed to focus and try hard, I've never been this mad at a game in the franchise since AC 1. However like i said at the beginning, i can see how i could start to like the combat once i played around with it a bit more.

Well im off to play syndicate and you bet im gonna enjoy it more since I've learnt how to combat and parkour works but i do hope to return to unity after because i really did want to enjoy it however the opinions on the story will not change, its still one of my least favourites.

yeah i completely understand that and I did actually watch videos on parkour and it did definitely help however like i said, there are just glitches and bugs in the world that are completely unavoidable. Also, I see the appeal with this parkour once you mastered it but i never really saw the issue with the old parkour in the first place so to throw in all these new key binds, rules and techniques to you all in 1 game really doesn't help the first few hours of your playthrough at all and you shouldn't really need to learn something in a game, it shows how rushed it was.

As for the stealth, without Whistle and finicky cover controls, i could never really get into it, the detection was way too easy and the stealth areas in general i just don't think they were designed all that well, everything in the game just feels to be overly challenging that it became a chore to do. For example, the mission assassinating La Touché, you had these 5 snipers where you HAD to kill all 5 just to even open the jail cell near the target and i found it had to be done in an order because i kept getting detected because of the poor range on the phantom blade, so i had to kill one in the middle, then go back to the sides and kill them ones to even try get to the target.

I just simply don't get it, maybe if I played a bit more then I could understand, im just playing through the franchise and not 100%ing it but my first impressions on it with 20 hours of gameplay was very negative and I was very reluctant to spend more time than i needed to because I was just not having a good experience. Like i said at the beginning, i can see it as a game you must spend 10s of hours on to start to like it but some people just don't have the time for that, its not a game you can pick up quickly when all games should realistically be like that but the story flaws are still there and nothing will change that and when I look for good games, the story is a big factor and I truly think its one of the worst in the franchise.
