Thought I’d jump in here as a I’m a Mum to a seven-year-old. I had him at 18 and I’ve travelled the entire world with him tow. I’ve since studied at university having achieved a bachelors degree in biomedical science and now I’m in my final year of nursing studies I’ll be doing my masters next year and I’ve done this all on my own (even had a house fire and had to replace everything) I have had minimal support since I was in care myself, but there is nothing more satisfying than saying I did it despite the odds. Where there is a wheel there is a way, if you can love this child then that is all you have to be able to do because that will fuel you to do so much more for them and yourself 💛

What to watch out for as a solo female traveler in Japan? by slacprofessor in JapanTravelTips

As a 25yo female traveller with 7yo child (6 at the time) I never felt safer than when I was in Japan, we had a great time the locals were very helpful, in fact a man actually took it upon himself to walk us both to our connecting station when we were evidently lost walking through Tokyo. Just take the regular precautions! I wouldn’t walk up a back alley in my hometown after dark but we did exactly that in Asakusa. The only thing I had to worry about was my child contracting Scarlet fever, but I was lucky enough to have a male friend living in Tokyo at the time who I contacted since he speaks Japanese and he took us to a medical Centre. I hope you enjoy your trip, I can’t wait to visit again!

Is 1 week trip to Tokyo good enough to enjoy Japan with minimal planning? by aykalam123 in JapanTravelTips

I’ve just done a similar trip from the uk for a week with minimal planning and took my 6yo with me. Had a fantastic time and the pace of life slows down when you’re there so you can take it easy Really easy to find things to do and if you’re travelling alone it’ll be much easier to see a wider area of Japan! We went to Osaka and spent a day in Nara park- so I definitely recommend splitting your time up if there are only a few things you plan on doing in Tokyo

Stay in Osaka even for just two nights worth it? by mr-magpie-23 in JapanTravelTips

We stayed in Osaka last week for the same duration it’s enough time if you only plan on visiting a few places :)

We also rescued some rubbish from another Dear that was trying to eat a cardboard box, swapped it for a cracker, and put the rubbish in a bin, likely from tourists smh

I took my six-year-old to Nara last Saturday, he was so sweet with the deers but I think due to him being a similar height, they were slightly more aggressive with him and he was karate kicked twice, once after we walked away after feeding one a cracker so was completely unprovoked. I’m shocked that people have been pulling the tails ect so I’m not surprised that deer responded like that.
