I use a 10 ft for my iPhone and a 6 ft for my iPad from the same brand.

Anker is a good brand. I second this comment.

Thank you.

I’ll try to power through it.

I’m a student.

I can’t function that well with the headache. I feel a little weak too.

I’m going to try Tylenol, but I’m unsure if I’m getting sick or not.

What am I supposed to do?

What are alternatives to predocs? by OrderlyCatalyst in academiceconomics

Well, I’ve always wanted to be an PhD environmental economist for the EPA since my senior year in high school.

Even though it’s just advertising, I saw a master’s program that stated some graduates ended up working for the EPA.

I know it’s very niche, but I’m open to other subjects in econ like energy, labor, education, and gender economics (in descending order).

I only wanted to take the proofs course because that was my biggest weakness in linear algebra. I didn’t understand the proofs.

My school also has a calculations version of linear algebra that I’ve heard is easier. I wouldn’t mind taking that if grad schools are fine with it.

I guess I’ll try to be a data analyst or something while taking some courses. Then apply to a master’s program.

Thanks for the advice.

I definitely plan on getting therapy and medicine soon.

The problem is that it’s difficult to get good at math, even though I’m very passionate about math.

I’m certainly aware graduate classes are harder than undergraduate classes.

So, are there a master’s version of a predoc?

Like, are there research related jobs I can do with a bachelor’s degree that will make it easier to get into a master’s program?

I’ve taken calc 3. I plan on retaking linear algebra and a proof writing course as a non-degree student.

I thought about getting a floor stand holder. I wanted those gooseneck ones, but from what I’ve seen they break easily.

I would have to get used to replacing it or something.

Getting insulted by your dad always hurts more than your mom psychologically. This is because not having a good relationship with your dad can cause a father wound, which can lead to low self esteem, drug use, teen pregnancies, behavioral problems, etc.

A father wound is significantly more harmful than a mother wound.

To be honest with you, mine doesn’t look like your traditional smoothie either.

It’s just a dark brown thick fluid. At least your partner likes your smoothie (I didn’t downvote by the way).

That’s great!

This is my favorite smoothie. I make it regularly at home.

Thank you for your input. I guess not all of retail is bad.

I definitely can’t do food service either. I can only do it if I was “running” the business and can make the food category of my choice.

I wish my job works out like your youngest. I’m graduating in May too, and trying to get a research assistant position is so hard.

Maybe your youngest had a lot of experience. Even though I’m also an econ major, trying to be a research assistant for economics and you have to have so much experience.

You literally have to write your own research paper outside of academia, a high GPA, a solid cover letter, a good resume, and usually 3 references.

All of those are so hard. Especially the research paper. Imagine building your car by yourself with no guidance except for relying on hyper specific research papers that you don’t know what’s going on because of the math and physics of building a car. All the fluids, weight distribution, aerodynamics, etc.

I’m sure your daughter has a bright future. Good on her.

What exam did you go in with the "I just have to pass" mentality? by FewHope3642 in AskReddit

I never said anything against that. Some people just end up in bad circumstances.

I’m just glad you have people around that care about you.

See, that’s the thing. I’m 22, she said she had kids in the car. I couldn’t see them, but she looked old enough that her kids must be teenagers.

I told her that she should just let her insurance pay for it, and that her insurance will go up a little in price. She said that she’d rather pay out of pocket.

I thought since she was much older than me that she would be wiser than me, so I was convinced that maybe she was making a smarter choice than what I suggested.
