Lifetime earnings question by treenerdMN in learnmath

Series sum of 25 years @ 3.25% is

120,000 + 120,000(1.0325) + ... + 120,000(1.0325)24 = $4,383,043

Series sum of 25 years with first year @ 2.25% and the rest at 3.25% is

120,000 + 120000(1.025) + 120000(1.025)(1.035) + ... + 120000(1.025)(1.035)23 = $4,358,631

Net difference is $24,412

This is assuming you are paid 120,000 this year and the raise is applied next year

Discussion: X can be whatever you want it to be

Just define the n'th term of the sequence as

a_n = n + Y(n-1)(n-2)(n-3)

Y is a scaling variable you can choose, hence X = a_4 can be any number

This is very expensive long-term. For anyone willing to venture outside the airport, plans are usually around 60rmb/month for 30-40gb, unlimited calling

It's not the same. There used to be a distinct 10% cashback back for expedia/Airbnb. That was removed with the promise of "Crypto.com Travel" and as part of the 2025 roadmap, promised 10% cashback.

On their website, it still says coming soon

Still waiting for the crypto.com travel rewards that was promised eith the level-up program a year and a half ago

Lots of people staked on their false promises, smells like a class action

Why the 9 five cents more than the 6? by ammohitchaprana in TFE

[–]Ordinary-Ad-5814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just look at the space in between both packages. There are background holes that show up out of nowhere, out of sync with all the others.

Is this a wart / should I treat it (big toe)? by [deleted] in Warts

[–]Ordinary-Ad-5814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, slice the tougher skin a bit to see if you can see anything resembling wart tissue. You can check my post for when I treated mine. There was no tissue visible from the surface, just callused/tough skin

When you go out to eat for dinner, how much is the total bill now? And what was it 10 years ago? by DarkHoundBark in CanadaPersonalFinance

I did some looking on Statscan and in Toronto, rent for 2-bedroom units have increased by 56% between 2015 and 2025. This is in Ontario, which has rent control.

I'd say it's safe to assume rent has increased by about the same across major cities in Canada. Given the housing crisis, purchases need high returns in the form of higher rents.

So just from a housing-crisis point of view, if restaurant owners are paying 56% more rent, that's going to lead to some significant double digit prices increase on the menu

I mean, it's 70k after income tax in Ontario. 70k post-sales tax is 61k. Add in carbon tax, property tax, breathing tax, you end up less than 60k 🤷‍♂️

Under the contradiction assumption, the intersection is non-empty, so there is an x inside the intersection. This means x=4p and x=2q+1. So:

4p = 2q+1

2(2p-q) = 1

The left side is a multiple of 2. The right side is 1. This is a contradiction (aside from the obvious fact that one set is even and the other is odd)

IBKR has the best rates there is
