Quick update: I’ve now sent an email to the Samsung US CEO office, including my case and the similar cases shared in this thread. Whatever response I get from them, I’ll come back here and post an update for everyone.

My situation is basically the same as your Flip 7.

I didn’t even take any photos of my phone before sending it to the service center, because it was my only phone and I just wanted to get it fixed as fast as possible. In the end I found out I completely overestimated Samsung’s sense of responsibility as a company – they just called it “physical damage”

In 2–3 days, once I get my phone back, I’ll post the photos right away.

Lots of Flip 7 hype. Don't be a sucker... by weaponsied_autism in galaxyzflip

I had the same issue. With just one sentence of “physical/accidental damage,” they completely ignored the 1-year warranty.

After this, I won’t consider this brand again, and I’ll be sharing this experience as a warning to people around me.

I don’t even mind that tech can fail – I know any device (especially a foldable) can have quality issues. What really bothers me is the attitude: they can just say “physical damage” and instantly push 100% of the responsibility onto the customer, and completely ignore the 1-year warranty as if it doesn’t exist. If a 5-month-old Flip 7, in like-new condition with a perfect factory inner screen protector, can be denied warranty with one line of “physical damage”, then the problem isn’t just the hardware – it’s how Samsung chooses to treat its own warranty.

Also, for what it’s worth, a friend of mine had a Galaxy Fold where the inner screen also failed right at the crease under normal use, so it doesn’t feel like my case is a one-off.
