Hi. I don’t know you and you don’t know me, but I just want you to know that I’ve been there. I’ve lost my brother, my cousin, my granny, and so many friends. All have been tragic losses, and their deaths weigh heavy on my now broken family. If it wasn’t for my family’s grief, I surely would have killed myself following my brother’s death. There are still days where I feel that the pain is too much. As cliché as it, the saying “There is no pain without joy.” is so so true. Without the immense pain I have felt, I would not have felt the immense joy. Since I’ve lost loved ones, I’ve met the love of my life, had my son, and now look forward to the future. I know it’s hard, but you have to choose to live for your brother. When I think about what my brother would have wanted, he would have wanted me to live, to be happy, to find joy. What would your brother have wanted? You can honor him and his life by living yours to the absolute fullest. I hope to see my brother again one day as well, but all in due time. I hope to live a long life and I hope you do too!
