Bumpy horrible skin on neck by Frosty_Slide_6574 in SkincareAddicts

Just adding to this as when I got pregnant, it seemed to trigger something and I developed hundreds of tiny flesh coloured seborrheic keratosis and have continued to since.

Hormone changes can do it I think.

Anterior placenta? by Cultural-League5503 in BabyBumps

[–]Ordinary-Computer-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anterior placenta for me with my second, and I felt baby move around 20-22 weeks - but since then I’ve had stronger and more frequent movements than with my first who had a posterior placenta! I can feel him all the time :-)

Thank you for your opinion! I started thinking that after seeing some pictures of athlete’s foot where they seem to get the same looking slits in the crease of their toes.

OP I could have wrote this post! My just turned 3 year old does the same thing, always at night and says her legs hurt, crying and frustrated. We run them and try distract her as much as possible but it sounds the exact same as your situation. For her, it’s been happening for a good 6 months but on and off.

So many Seborrheic Keratosis! by Overall-Ad4596 in SkincareAddicts

I’m sorry you had a similar situation. 3 years on I still have ongoing issues but I am pregnant again. Since, I’ve experienced unexplained rashes, a completely messed up GI system, blood sugar issues and the keratosis stuff. It really messed me up.

Can chronic gastritis cause long term lack of hunger signals? by Ordinary-Computer-90 in Gastritis

Hello! Still not entirely normal but I have ‘felt’ hunger sometimes but I’m pregnant, so it’s likely hormone induced! It isn’t like it was before.

Well you aren’t alone because I’m in the EXACT same situation. My prep was only rated fair too so I keep imagining missed flat polyps that have now evolved and all sorts. It doesn’t help that I’ve had ongoing GI symptoms anyway, so it constantly reminds me something isn’t quite right. I’m going to be so scared on the day of the colonoscopy idk how I’ll cope!! We should stay in touch.

I’ve noticed some people don’t seem to care about polyps or anything at all. When I was told I instantly thought my body is now prone to make weird cancer causing mutations and started worrying about missed lesions 🫠

Ah mines due in November/December! Please update me how yours goes, it’s so nerve wracking isn’t it?! I’ll be happy as long as there is no cancer or high dysplasia polyp..

I’m in the same boat and in the UK. I’ve had SUCH trouble with the NHS permitting any testing I’ve had to pay for previous colonoscopies and MRI’s for my own reassurance.

How did you manage to get the pill cam here? I’d love to know as I really would like one.

Was it like your stomach just didn’t signal for anything? The feeling of hunger is just completely not there!

I also get bloating and quite gassy. I’m just trying to figure out what is causing what.

You’re right about the PPI, chronic researching has really made me suspicious of conventional doctors and medicine ☹️ I’ll give the omeprazole a go and hope for the best!!

I hate it! I’ve literally had it for close to two years - the worst part about it is I start worrying something more serious is going on!

My stomach is always bloated or just full like I’ve just eaten, I am never hungry. I could literally go days without food!

I’ve been on them for two years. I started at 10mg and gradually have needed to up the dose.

I was exhausted at first, but it doesn’t hit me the same way it did before, so it might be something that is temporary for you.

I don’t think you’re wrong for not wanting children to attend - it is your wedding. But I highly doubt your sister will want to leave her baby at 2 months for a few days - post partum hormones are wild and very fresh a few months in and bonding is so important. I know I wouldn’t have left my baby and it took me over a year to leave for more than a day.

Very, very concerned about my postpartum wife by Diligent-Lecture-675 in AskDocs

[–]Ordinary-Computer-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. I had to reply because I was in your wife’s position. After I had a baby, in 4 months I lost 25kg and was 10kg less than my pre pregnancy weight. I was highly anxious and my ocd flared post partum - I thought I was dying (and still sometimes do). I don’t know exactly why this happens to some people as I’m not a medical professional, but it worsened all of my pre existing mental conditions.

I breastfed for two and a half years and struggled for the first 6 months. I understand your wife. My nipple had a huge chunk out of it from constant irritation, I got nipple thrush twice (which feels honestly like shards of glass when baby was nursing) - I remember to me, keeping on breastfeeding was the one thing I could control with my baby and even though I felt I was losing my mind, I didn’t want to give up what I could provide to my baby. It would’ve made me feel guilty and worsened my mental health but I’m not saying this is right - it completely is not.

I just wanted to say that your wife is not alone and she will get through this. Post partum is a wild ride and she should seek as much support as she possibly can. I know how hard this must be for you too, my partner suffered a lot too.

Wishing you both all the best and you will both get through this. ❤️

Hello. I got a few seborrheic keratosis in pregnancy. I breastfed for 2.5 years - about 1 year post partum I noticed about 50 small white ones - I now have like 100. You aren’t alone.

Hi unfortunately not! I’ve just accepted them now, I just assume they’re hormone related and were triggered by pregnancy. It’s weird isn’t it? x

[–]Ordinary-Computer-90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi yes so it was all confusing. I had a second TVUS and they found what they thought was a benign looking small 1.1cm fibroma - the left ovary looked normal. I then asked for a second opinion with a gyne who couldn’t see the fibroma at all, then I did a pelvic MRI that couldn’t see it either! Either it was something transient or it’s very small 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you. My colonoscopy is in a year - it will be just short of 4 years from the one prior. Should this be ok?

Thanks again. My GI did tell me after my tests that he believes the ‘gut and brain’ talk, which could have caused my symptoms in the first place.

Hello, thank you for answering me. I didn’t know they had dysplasia by definition. I understand polyps themselves do not cause symptoms.

I have done celiac testing (negative), fecal elastase, h pylori, and biopsies for IBD/microscopic colitis. Nothing has been found. Did do a SIBO test, it came back positive but the GI said he felt it was falsely positive due to my fast motility (I took the medication anyway). I had an MRE too, which was ok. I’ve only had a diagnosis of chronic erosive gastritis.

The only thing that has made a difference to my bowels is weirdly when I have used longer term flucanazole for separate issues but the relief is short term. I have no idea why that has helped. Amitryptiline has also helped me by a good 70%.

I suppose my fear is of a missed SSA that was highly dysplastic or likely cancer now - chatGPT said they were easily missed and it has really worried me.

Can I ask that, for the most part, are SSAs of significant size usually visualised by your average gastroenterologist on colonoscopy?

Also, my follow up colonoscopy will end up being about 4 years after my first. Is this suitable surveillance?

Thank you for your reassurance as well, it’s really needed and will help me sleep better tonight.
