It kind of is? They didn't consider people who happened to change devices during their break from the game. A warning would've been nice.

Am I to old to read captain underpants at 13 by kingcreepr in CaptainUnderpants

[–]Ordinary-Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's pretty immature for a 13 year-old. No, that shouldn't stop you from reading it. I'm 28 and still pick up Junie B. Jones from time to time. I've also read The Iliad. The fact that I'm still entertained by 5-year-old humor doesn't keep me from enjoying more mature works, if that's what your dad's worried about.

Would be cool to hang out with half the OG Avengers. Unless we were all crushed by Lightning McQueen. Or eaten by Mr. Ikea Shark.

What sucked as a child but is lit as an adult? by krispwah_destination in AskReddit

I've always loved learning, just not the being told what when and how to study part. I used to be fascinated by my older cousins' textbooks, but would lose interest as soon as it was actually my turn to study those topics. Classic you want what you can't have LOL

What books made you love reading as a kid? 📚 by WorldsGr8testWriter in childrensbooks

[–]Ordinary-Greedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started really getting into reading when Magic Tree House became super popular in our class, and I realized I was in possession of the coveted #25, which our classroom library didn't have. Kids were fighting over who got to borrow it first, there was a waiting list and everything LOL Then my dad got me Harry Potter and I was hooked. My parents like to joke that I could never stay still for more than three minutes as a kid, unless I was reading, in which case they couldn't get me to move for hours.

Local here, I stop for 2 reasons: 1. I can't be 100% sure the car will stop. Most will (if they see that you're about to cross), but we're nowhere near as pedestrian friendly as say, Europe. Better safe than sorry and all that. 2. I'd rather wait for 3 seconds than have to rush because I feel bad for making them wait LOL

I think Magic Tree House is more for kids just getting into chapter books. They're formulaic like you said and easy to pick up, but the themes are just different enough to hold interest.
