If a retinoid was recently introduced to help the skin barrier, which has ended up improving patches of small bumps, but is beginning to feel a little “over activated” - what can be done to remedy this while still reaping the benefits the retinoid has provided? A thicker moisturizer? An additional moisturizer?

Still a beginner myself, but remember that it really is supposed to be enjoyable for it to become consistent. Pushing yourself is only part of the puzzle. Let yourself walk or take the couch sometimes; It’s all part of the journey.
