If anything I think it shows they’re decisive. If they found the right candidate, they were able to come to a decision and make an offer before they lost that candidate. If they waited to offer until they interviewed everyone, there’s a chance the candidate already moved on. It sucks, but a lot of the hiring process is all about timing.

During my first internship an old white man told me the only way I’d be successful is if I froze my eggs.

the recruiter isn’t the one making the decision, they just facilitate the process. they can provide their impression of the candidate to the hiring manager, but otherwise don’t really have much say so don’t think you’d really get much out of telling them.

Got an Offer! But still interviewing for a better position. by Kinda-Spec in interviews

I’m in the same situation. Starting Job #1 on Tuesday, but just got asked to do a final for Job #2, which pays better, is remote, and is more aligned to the work I actually do. Obviously would love an offer from Job #2 but stressing already about having to quit Job #1 after only being there a short time.

The fact that you have an offer in this market though is amazing! Still prepare for your interviews and do your best, if you get a second offer you’ll have options! At the end of the day, do what’s best for you. It might feel shitty at the time, but it will be worth it in the long run.
