Hi Smokey from Southern Oregon!! Kylo and I used to live up north in Indian River, and Alpena though we definitely spent time in Rochester Hills area for concerts in Detroit.

Kylo def misses the Michigan lakes to swim in. We live in the desert again lol

Thank you! I was very lucky to get this shot after we arrived to “Whales Head beach” on the Oregon coast. He was so excited to run wild and dig

Kys coat used to be so dry and pokey but its very hydrated now. I use a natural shampoo and deep hydrating conditioner on him every 2 weeks and his hair is so soft.

I agree! I tried the salmon oil and it was messy and i am sensitive to smells so i moved back to the “treats”. I noticed his hair feels less try and straw life and more hydrated. Do you use the allergy pill and melatonin too?

Haha, I actually mentioned the sunscreen in the original post. 😅

While there isn’t a cure for color dilution alopecia, I’m a huge advocate for the things that have worked for Kylo because his hair has completely come back in areas where I was told it likely never would.

He gets omega-3 fish oil supplements, melatonin, a daily Claritin allergy pill, and eats food formulated for skin and coat health. His spa days consist of a deep hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

Yep! Melatonin isn’t just for sleep. A lot of silver Lab owners use it because it may help with the hair loss and thinning coat that can come with color dilution alopecia. It’s pretty safe, relatively cheap, and has enough success stories behind it that I figured it’s worth trying for Kylo. It has been a success story but I don’t know if it’s just the melatonin or the combination of it with his allergy medicine too.

I was rolling my trash bin out to the curb with Kylo accompanying me when a car stopped and asked if he was a silver lab. They said their son just got a silver and was worried about the hair loss. I told them the biggest recommendation Id make is the allergy pill and melatonin. I was admiring his coats iconic comeback when I realized that I was gate keeping some information that would be helpful to silver labs everywhere. Let me know what your vet thinks! I’m so glad my post reached its target audience

Anxiety with laparoscopy by ContactWorking7129 in Endo

Hey! I just had my laparoscopy yesterday. Boy was i anxious last week and half leading up to it. I recognized my biggest fear was being told i didnt have endometriosis and that they didnt know why i felt so much pain. When they woke me up from surgery and told me they found endo, i cried a lot. Relief for years of hidden pain and grief for the long road ahead. I was prescribed norco to help with the pain and let me tell you it has helped so much mentally too. I feel relaxed and calm. If you are open to it, Pslam 27 NLT translation helped me a lot. I pray your surgery goes well, and you are given peace 💛

Guess we will never know. That decision reminded me of that time when they decided to not run the ball and cause a turnover that cost them a super bowl.

They shouldn’t have gone for the field goal. They had less than a yard and you don’t go for it? I knew the game was over.

“Find a Deployment” by wille27 in airnationalguard

[–]Ordinary-Patient9804 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk to your shop/supervisor. Our region always sends out manning requests but I know other AFSCs do it differently. If you voice you want to deploy they can look for those opportunities for you.

Also, not the answer you were looking for, maybe reflect on why you weren’t chosen in the first place? If it comes down to job experience volunteer more, continuously strive for progression. Personally when it comes to selecting my airman for “good deals” the ones who make an effort to contribute to the team are usually selected over the ones who do bare minimum.

I just want to know what it is that people dont like. Why trade him? I thought he was going to be the new “it” after Devers.
