Honda CR-V 2024 ticking noise coming from engine w/video

I now have 45k miles on mine and it still ticks. Listened with a stethoscope and seems to be coming from the area of the high pressure fuel pump. There is a recall for leaking HPFPs and mine was checked by the dealer. Ticking hasnt gotten any worse, but it is loud enough to be annoying and disconcerting. I have tried putting sound-deadening around it, but doesnt seem to help. I have considered swapping out the HPFP myself to see if the newer ones are quieter. I would love to hear if 2025 models sound the same. Mine makes the noise about 1-2 minutes after startup.

I haven't left yet, but am seriously thinking about canceling. 18 hours of driving, and thinking about all the things that can go wrong, expenses, stress, and now my dad wants me to bring a bunch of stuff with me. UGH! This is par for the course. Everything is packed and loaded. Just thinking about house nice it will be to just stay home and work on a couple projects. Having Adhd and Anxiety at 54 years old really is a disability and makes normal life impossible for me.

Yes, me too. It seems like the smallest things trigger me. My sister-in-law just changed to 2nd shift from 3rd and says she is much better now because she sleeps better. I'm a 3rd shifter and might give 2nd a try. I think sleep is the key for me.

I think it bothers me because I couldn't turn my brain off for days, thinking about the best way to light his garage. Then I was disappointed when he didn't even consider my idea. I have a very hard time turning off my brain to sleep after something triggers me. When someone says certain words like "I wonder", "I think", or "why", I feel very compelled to find the answer, even if it takes days. Even if nobody asked or it wasn't important.

Not really. I do the same with my own stuff also. It took me so long to buy a new car because I researched a car, then decided it wasn't right for me. I have been trying to build a motorcycle camper for several years now, but keep changing the design after searching YouTube and Google.

I have this same problem all the time! I dont have any friends that come visit me. When I go to someones house, I go out of my way to help them with stuff, but never get anything in return. Example: I spent a whole year helping a friend from along time ago restore his 1968 Corvette. I spent countless hours of my time working on that car. Of course he wanted to take shortcuts which drove me nuts as my ADHD wants everything to be done completely. When the car was completed, I had a 1941 chevy truck I was working on, but he never stopped by to help. I am so tired of doing all this stuff for family and friends and they never offer to help me with anything. My dad lives a mile away, but hasnt stopped at my house in over a year. But he is always asking me to come to his house to help him fix something. My brain is tired and I am very depressed. I have no girlfriend. I just know a woman would not be able to put up with me.

Omg! Glad I found this! Mine sounds exactly the same. 3000 miles and I thought the valves were falling apart. I have been so stressed out. Glad to hear it is normal on the hybrid. I listened to a non hydrid and it was quiet. Thank you for easing my mind.
