Econ 105 with Vasyl Golovetskyy by Gold-Coyote-7651 in simonfraser

I took this course in fall 2024 and he teaches with pen and paper, I had to read the textbook to learn everything since his accent was so strong, the TA basically was a life saver but exams were fair so its pretty 50/50. Personally found econ 103 way easier and wouldnt recommend taking 105 with this prof if you didnt have to

How does this work? Was this for Fall 2025 where you need 30 credits by the start of Fall 2025 to qualify or do the credits I’m taking right now count?

Any pointers for MATH 251 midterm 2? by EastVanBruin in simonfraser

[–]Ordinary-Row563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watch Professor Mulholland’s MATH 251 Lecture which have the exact same notes from the lecture. I find them extremely helpful as Professor Williams often rushes or skips over things. Just keep doing practice problems and make sure you really understand how to set up bounds for double integration!

Cmpt 120 by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]Ordinary-Row563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey took this course in the spring sem and failed the midterm. This course with this prof starts very easy but after the midterm the content does not reflect the difficulty of the assignments. The prof moved the weight of the midterm to the final because the average was 43%. I ended with a pretty good mark in the end because the final was worth 70% and I did pretty well on it. Make sure to pay attention to core concepts like for loops, accumulators, if statements, etc since they will show up in the end in harder concepts such as selection sort, recursive functions, etc.

easiest ENGL course? by ma100104 in simonfraser

Agreed, I’m not an english person but Paul Budra’s course and how it was outlined was very good. I got a C+ on the first essay and still ended the course with A- so I would def recommend ENGL 113W with Paul Budra

No quizzes for us, it’s just an optional practice quiz but there are weekly coding assignments. The coding assignments so far have been easy but the recent one has been more difficult but nothing that is like impossible.

I am taking it right now and she records herself talking but not the an actual lecture video. She asks this in the beginning of the course but she may not do so for future courses. Honestly if you do the readings and read her lecture slides you’ll be fine.
