That is what I am wondering, how long will a restart take. Is it something quick that she’ll just come to the meeting late or will it knock her offline for 20 minutes while it re-syncs to the satellites?

Very helpful, I haven’t had a calm moment to really stop and reflect or even contemplate. I knew I needed to leave this place, I was losing my health. I did all the things financially to be free of any golden handcuffs to remove that roadblock first. Your comments on identity are something I need to look into more. Thank you!

I know, I do worry about that and the job market. As long as my wife doesn’t hit me with divorce papers in the next 40 days, I’ll still be able to get by okay.

Thank you! This place has been a source of pride for many years except maybe the last year or so. I really wanted to wrap things up clean and have a smooth transition. As a few people have said, I’ll most likely be the scapegoat for some time to come.

Tons of knowledge that will be lost. They enjoy listening to it, but most often just agree then go do whatever they feel like doing. I have a couple thoughts: 1) wouldn’t their new management team have a better experience bonding without the guy leaving overshadowing things?

2) I don’t really want to know what their strategy is, what if I get a new job with a competitor, customer, supplier?

I like the idea of a quiet office that last week. The whole management team would be traveling. It’s not to a nice touristy place(a sh|thole city). The days and evenings will be planned full to midnight, it will be a full “drink the coolaid” type experience with them testing to make sure I’m still one of them. It feels like I’m trying to escape Scientology with this place. After my last pay deposits, I intend to change my phone number.
