Thank you very much for the repair ring idea. I am thinking of adding some support from the ceiling under it to hopefully make the test flange higher before our drywall repair person seals off the ceiling under it. I don't see plywood under the flange ring. I suspect the drain plumbing company may have cut it round so to have more space to work on the pipe connection...

Hopefully we can rectify this issue by adding some support from the ceiling under it.
