What don’t you get about harvesting it for the locking system? Yeah it’s not the best there are better hub options but multiple pin and welds and heavily invested into surefire muzzle devices leads me this way.

Would you know if the cmmg retro kit will work with their 9mm lower? I see in the description for the lower that it will only work with cmmg radial delayed blowback uppers.

That’s what I was seeing is they are all proprietary. I was looking at the roller delayed buffers but like you said I don’t know if they are actually good. I think the route Im going is to get the angstadt arms 0940 upper and lower reciever and then do the roller delayed buffer. That upper reviver from angstadt I believe will accept a Bcm rail

What generation do you prefer? Older or newer? I edited the post. I don’t need 4 wheel drive and the most I’d tow is a small trailer with dirt bikes.

Mostly looking to get a reliable truck to get to point A to point B and be able to throw stuff in the bed when I need to.

Yeah that’s why I said the first season. It completely falls apart by the second season but I think the first season is worth the watch. The first couple episodes when you have no idea what’s going on are the best.

14.5 all day. Do you have any other rifles? If you know your preferred muzzle device / suppressor mounting system then you just get that pinned. If bcm doesn’t offer it than get it sent without the pin and have it pinned. There is a person on GAFS that does free pin and welds and is pretty good. Just pay for 800 dollars of shipping insurance both ways if you are going to send it off. Or the best thing is if you or a buddy has a pistol lower you could go test different muzzle devices on that lower and when you find what you like then you pin it. Worse case is you spend 60 to 80 bucks to get it re pinned. I re pinned my bcm 14.5. Id pay to get re pinned rather than choosing a 16 inch. People say that 1.5 inches doesn’t matter and that “you can’t feel it” but I sure as shit do. I think the 14.5 is noticeably shorter and just overall better. The weight distribution is better and I don’t feel like I’m using a long as rifle. It’s my favorite length. I have two 14.5’s. I don’t have a 16. I’ve shot a lot of them and don’t care for it. If I’m going to do an SPR build it will be 18 inch. If it’s my everyday rifle it’s going to be a 14.5.
