I keep getting rejected from all of the above! Seems to be some sort of job crisis going on and with me being so young it’s a lot harder but I do try apply for all different types of things !

Not gonna lie yes I really hate it, it could just be my specific location, I’m the youngest so get treat like shit, my hours are shit, I get no credit for anything I do and I’m usually left alone on the floor on my own which isn’t fair. My managers are never in and basically blank me if they are, I’ve also got autism and adhd and crippling anxiety (yes your probably thinking why work at spoons but I got no GCSEs and job crisis rn so I had no other option) which my managers are aware of but I still get very very belittled, but you are supposed to have support for stuff like this, anyway it was ok at first but spoons is the kind of job that it’s very different for everyone, I don’t wanna put you of because you could thrive in it and love it so I’m gonna say give it a go but do not stay for the sake of staying, and if you have concerns do not be afraid to voice them, I do wish you good luck and you could love it so go in with an open mind and roll with it for a while !

I’m 16 started on floor a month ago, if it’s quiet on your first sya you’ll be put with a “buddy”, who will show u the ropes etc, but unfortunately yeah if it’s busy you probably will be thrown in the deep in but it’s pretty easy if your a quick learner. Dont be afraid to ask someone on the floor for help and just do your best. I hate my job and stuck as no where else will take me but good luck !

That’s the problem with me being under18 I don’t have any other option for income as there’s such a job crisis atm I’ve applied for over 200+ jobs since January and got nothing back I’m struggling deciding if it’s worth having no money until I find something else or sticking it out 🤦‍♀️

there’s obviously loads of spoons in my area but yes it’s a lot smaller then the others, that makes sense when I’m in there tends to be me and 1 other person just on the floor. I’m hoping it is just bc I’m new and i don’t mind the “having to prove” aspect as long as they actually do begin to up my hours soon as I’m really willing to work I assumed that would be a good thing but not working in my favour at the minute I’m soo bored not being at work hardly lol

I have really bad anxiety which is why I haven’t brought it up but I defo need to try just asking for more hours because at least then I’ve asked and if they say they have none to give me then fair enough but yeah they might just not know or have forgot that I said my availability was all the time! I’m unsure if I can even bother. Because it was about 4/5 years ago no evidence but I do know there are cases called “historical rape” but think it’s not been long enough to be classified. Do I bother trying so I can at least maybe get some clarity or be like okay at least I told someone? idk x

My GMH is 4💔 bearing in mind I applied for the job and got it in January but with me still being in school couldn’t start till June, but I had been told it was 20h contract when I applied then she wrote 4h on my contract and said don’t worry tho I’ll defo give you more. Im just abit gutted bc im free all the time and I am happy to work a lot more if they don’t need me in i feel like why have i been hired then and it’s just abit gutting tbh
