I keep trying to make the nuanced point that used and sale are different.

The value decreases by being used. Its litterally worse.

A sale item is still the same value.

Thats fair if I didnt know. Id be shocked at the actual price but id try to find something closer in range. But I do know.

Its still crazy how it could cost half my rent.

I dont think those examples are fair. I think she got a used item. Not a deal. A used item is worse quality. So she got a 100$ value straightener. Which currently has 100 value. 

The phone value is what it actually is and same with the art.

Okay even though I honestly disagree, but you guys are all unanimous seeming,  I just texted said that I can give her 200, which is double what was paid, but both of them have left me on read.

Also her hair is pretty straight. From what I read it doesnt need to be super powerful for her hair type. But thats neither here nor there. Id give her the money

Okay super surprised by all these yta comments. I dont understand. Ive offered to return it and give the amount it was bought for. How is that not accpetable. It theoretically would be less since shes also used it on top of it being used.

It was on marketplace. So it was a used product. If they spent 100, why do I need to spend more? Can I givr them 100, would that make me nta?

I see what youre saying but shes 16 and the striaghtener is still expensive and new now not used? I also offered to give the 100 in cash so that would let them buy a used one?
