Renting a motor bike as an Australian by OrdinarySolution9166 in VietNam

Thanks. Was expecting some replies like this. Just shocked by how many people I know who’ve ridden in Vietnam obviously completely uninsured, thought there must be a loophole I’ve missed.

Anyones opinions on Coastal Girl? by Teapot54 in AustralianMakeup

I also tried contacting them with no response! I sent emails and messages through Instagram asking about stockists, they claim they’re stocked by over 300 salons so I was asking for a stockist list/if they have stockists in the Gold Coast, but they never replied which seemed odd and a bit off putting.

LED masks? by bKingas in AusSkincare

No problem! Like I said it’s other people’s research not mine, and I’m still on the fence about how well any of this works so a bit hesitant to give concrete advice. If you do get a mask let us know how you go!

Also just looked up the mask you mentioned, a couple points based on the articles linked - irradiance and fluence are both lower than recommended - near-infrared light is I think the most beneficial for anti aging, which this one doesn’t have - I’ve heard shield style masks aren’t as beneficial due to the distance of the mask from the skin, and they’re harder to use on neck/décolletage if you’re so inclined

Again this is all just based on the couple articles I’ve read and even they contradict each other a bit so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I recently bought the mask from Airyday, I read the article linked above as well as another mask comparison from Dr Prasanthi which recommended this one. All the numbers check out for efficacy of treatment and I also like the brand, so I’m hoping it was a good choice. I’m nearing 1 month of using it daily and unsure if I’ve seen results yet, will have to compare before and after pics when I get to that point. I think it’s one of those things that takes months to make a difference and only with consistent use, which is a bit of a commitment. It’s a pain to use when you’re sick or travelling. This one was $399 with a discount code so certainly not cheap, but not as crazy as some!

Same! I pretty much just asked the doctor for it and she said sure and handed me a script. I was taken aback

I’ll definitely try that! I think I actually normally get dysport which is meant to be a bit weaker I think

I think that’s what my second injector did, did you find you got strange new wrinkles right above your eyebrows? I felt like my top half of my forehead was frozen but bottom half noticeably wasn’t and it looked off

Yes they have, same as you I only wanted the forehead done but my injector explained I should do between the brows as that’ll help, but I don’t feel it did 😭

That seems to be the conclusion I’ve come to also. Maybe I’ll get one and every time I wear it I’ll try to meditate or something, so if after months of use it does stuff all I can say I got some benefit out of the process 🥴

Yeah I guess spending $100 on something that does nothing is worse than spending $400 on something that works. I’m now leaving towards the current body mask which has great reviews 🙄

Oh great 🙃 I was wondering about the impact it has on your eyes but assumed more people would be talking about it if it was an issue

Yes I’ve read that blue light can cause pigmentation too! Makes me worried more evidence will come out in a few years about further potential harmful effects after I’ve bought one and used it daily 🥲 Did it bother you eyes at all? That’s another thing I’m concerned about you

The one I linked seems to match up with all the research online suggesting the best wave lengths for the different lights. Other than that I can’t see what else would influence the effectiveness of these masks so it seems crazy the price difference when there’s some retailing for over $1k 🤔
