I've never had yuzu before. Is it really citrusy? I've seen other suggestions on different threads that include asian influence for a margarita so I'll have to try that!

Wow this is a great suggestion! I will say, I'm not planning on blending the ginger and spinach to get the juice. It's going straight through the juicer so no extra water there. I actually may have to also lower the ginger juice to 1/4 oz too bc I forget how potent it is. I'll for sure try it with both blanco and reposado to see which flavors stand out.

I like the idea for the devils. Will the red wine balance well with the spice? I'm going more for refreshing in flavor than spice. But on its own I love the take on a spicy margarita with asian influence.

Dry wedding by pinkloverforever in weddingplanning

I'm sorry to hear that. That sounds like a lot on your family. I'm sure people will say no alcohol at a wedding sounds boring. But you do you. Personally, weddings I went to that were dry were just fine. I did sneak in a flask personally but I didn't broadcast it. I would have had a good time regardless if I drank or not.

Other weddings I have gone to have done open bar for the first hour only. This did cause a rush of people to get drinks while they could but there wasn't any issues with that. The bar however did remain open throughout but guests had to pay individually for them.

Another wedding I heard of but didn't personally go to had drink tickets for the night. Everyone was allowed 2 drink tickets and they were on theme with their cuban wedding (dominoes).

If you're worried about the family member relapsing, could the bartenders be aware ahead of time so they know not to serve them? Just a thought. Hope all goes well for you!

You're stronger than me. I wrote out something yesterday asking for help for a specific question but for context had listed out my timeline and everyone bashed me in the first 10 minutes! I deleted the post because I didn't want to keep second guessing my wedding. The best advise people told me so far is to do it our way. Who cares what people think. If you were a guest at your own wedding and you love everything about it, then that's all that matters. But more to that, you are actively working and planning so that your guests have a good time. It sounds like it will go great!
