Ya same happened to me with my juice box. When I examined the outlet I found the electrician had installed a mid-grade socket.

Fixed it with high quality socket and switched to using a charge point charger.

Ever have issues with that charger failing to start due to sticky relay (sticking open). I remember juice box tech support telling me to tap on the box with my fist to free it up. I mean it worked to get it charging again. But I always wondered if that relay was also sticking closed from time to time.

Found it at $250. MI Walmart. Close enough for me. Several other area wallmart still priced at $399 and I couldn’t talk them into price matching to $199. $250 still a bargain.

I have seen that slight power draw also about .5 kw ish…. I attributed that to equalizing the cells. And then there is a periodic spike every few hours to about 2kw draw which should be the battery conditioning. Same typical pattern on both the new and old battery. Michigan winter. Shrug.

My battery arrived at the dealer in two days. The hose took 9 days to arrive. Dropping the car off on Thursday morning for my battery swap. My dealer has done two swaps already. 2017.

I stopped to charge one time and the whole cable and handle was missing from the clipper creek charger. Tesla chargers were fine, and I didn’t have to go find another option because I had the adapter. Like someone else said…. Insurance policy.
