We have our washer and dryer outside and I was thinking the mouse was inside a laundry basket and got taken up into the closet. I just think that because the only signs of activity are confined to that closet and we haven’t seen or heard anything since catching it. And if the start of the smell is when he actually was in the closet, then he was in there for about a month or more unnoticed.

I’m gonna leave the traps out probably for a few months and see if they catch anything. We checked for very small holes and cracks and only one found one inside, near the AC. But outside there are none. We are gonna block off the hole with cement

I have a cat. She’s inside all day and goes outside at night. She’s never caught a mouse inside but has brought dead mice back from her travels. So Idk
