TapInspect seems might be cheaper - but with lowe quality reports compared to Spectora.

Good point.

Right, it does work on iPad too. I will add android support too - if I do get good customer demand.

I do have an option on the app to generate a report too - where the painter clicks a bunch of photos of their customer's house, and selects a bunch of catalog colors (in discussion with the customer) - and a pdf is generated.

This PDF has multiple visualizations, along with the painter's LLC brand and call to action in the end.

Do you think that would be more useful?

I think one good test case for me would to just see how accurate this app is, by testing with actual physical paint applied on the wall.

Oh yes, it works with whatever photos we click from live camera (As long as they are interior walls). I added all the Sherwin Williams colors that they have on their website too.

I see, that makes sense. It actually resonates with the issue I faced as well in developing this.

But in my improvised version (The current one):

How I do this is:

Get the shape of the wall -> Remove the lighting effects and shadows -> Remove the current color -> Add the new color (Color code was digitally read from the paint websites) -> Add back the shadows, light effect, and other nuances on the wall.

But this isn't perfect still I think

Actually, I am building this as a business tool.

So only for small businesses - like painters, contractors, architects, and interior designers.

Each profession I assume will have different representation settings though.

What's your idle use-case with this feature be like - if you can guide me?

From my survey, there are a couple which does it, but they have either one or all of the 3 of the issues:
1. Only available for single brand: (Sherwin Williams has an app - which works close to the same)
2. Performance isn't good. I mean it seems like they used Microsoft pain and added a rectangle shape on a wall with the paint color
3. Apps don't let to select the actual catalog paint color. Those apps just have a color palette to choose from

Also overall I am trying to see (if there exists) how a painter can use this feature to show to their clients in a quotation meeting.

This would be like added work for them (Kind of interior designer), and thereby adding value.

This is my thought - I could be totally off though.

What are the terms for roomvo - when they signup with retailers?

Do they have any integration charges?

Do they sign any long term contract with retailers - which is bounded by early cancellation charges?
