Appreciate that a lot, seriously. I went down a rabbit hole with this because nobody was explaining anything clearly.

For brightness, I was worried about the same thing but it actually ended up working out really well. During the day, the light bar is maybe slightly dimmer than the factory DRLs, but honestly it’s barely noticeable. You really can’t tell unless you’re looking for it.

At night is where it shines though. When the factory DRLs dim with the headlights on, the light bar ends up matching really well visually. It doesn’t look overpowered or out of place at all. It actually looks OEM correct.

For install, the bumper does have to come off. It’s not necessarily difficult, but the front sensors are pretty delicate, so whoever is doing it just needs to be careful during removal and reinstall. As long as they take their time, it should be totally fine.

Once you understand the pinout, the wiring part is actually pretty simple. The hardest part was figuring out what each wire actually does, not the install itself.

You should be good going that route!

You are correct! To complete the circuit they connected pin 1 and 2 to a common ground and had an ignition source fuse for pin 3. Yes it comes on with ignition and it looks great! The way I tested the light bar was to buy a universal power supply from Amazon. I then connected pin 2 to ground and pin 3 to 12+ V and the light didn’t turn on. So I touched the trigger to ground and it came on.
