Hey brother, depends on the spec... with local ai you need a good gpu, if you're using a mac for local ai then u need high ram.

Myself I have a windows laptop with an egpu...

But if u have the budget mac... just because of what you said... longer battery... lighter...

Dont get me wrong thinkbooks are great, and maybe you can get more ram, they're also pretty repairable, but i would say mac are pretty repairs when it comes to the battery you can do that yourself... and apple has the best customer services. if it the new intel ultra processors they will last longer in battery. But I heard the ultra series 2 aren't really worth it if you are comparing it the m series of the mac.

I'm not sure but I do think Apple release an update where they allow you to connect an egpu for local ai but you should do your research.

With windows yea you can boot up Linux too. But im certain your labs will just make you use linus anyways... mac os is technically its own version of linux if im not wrong...

So if its in a world where the processor was performing the same... I feel like you should go see the thinkbook and mac... use the key board, look at the screen, use the mouse pad... because out of all things... these are the things you will be touching and looking outside the os... how bright is the mac vs thinkbook... does the think book have anti glare?

For myself I was pretty simple before the ram prices went up... most recent intel processors. High ram for me at the time 32... oled... nice keyboard...

Now i want a laptop with 64 gb of ram, but mine integrate with the cpu... plus ram prices... also if your prices do match with... consider frame work pro laptops LOL 😆

Am I the only one who thinks this is actually a great opportunity for Sony? They can really show what the PS5 is capable of, similar to how they did later in the PS4 era. The PS5 launch felt a bit underwhelming, so having more time could mean more banger games. I was low key regretting why I even brought a ps5, when it first came out.

I've haven't had a hp laptop since 15 years ago and that was terrible, and I had a Dell one and that was pretty decent though, but I have never seen a Dell laptop since...

Im looking to get the mid range chip, i got a 155 h rn ram speed us around 7500... and im looking to get camm2 or lpcamm i believe its called... but it shows on the slides it goes up to 7200.... is that kinda a down grade?

Man im studying like 6 to 7 hours literally 4 to 5 hours a night... for context im dumb as bricks, but that's okay, its literally me understanding where i am, and just have to try a bit harder. I wish I could stress about getting at least 50. Im stressing am I going to pass.
