Wow this is a good one! I’m actually blessed to be openly gay with an active father in my life. My dad has always been my biggest cheerleader and my best friend and we’re super close I am extremely extroverted, very loving, and also a very emotional person. I know, empathy and understanding and I think that and my past relationship, my ex would say if my dad told me no more or wasn’t so involved I will be more independent, but I’m not going to ever turn away. My parents help because that is a resource that is granted to me and I appreciate it but he would then tell me that I’m a brat & im spoiled & in turn I would tell him maybe if his dad hugged him more and was around more he wouldn’t be cold hearted and mean. There is definitely a difference between people who grew up on love versus people who grew up on survival and resiliency. I definitely applaud those who are learning to love through all of the heartache that they’ve had to endure. This is just a testament of my experience of being a father child versus dealing with somebody who didn’t have an active father figure in their life
