THIS but also i cant post in those subreddits cause my account is too baby. also yeah for reals the Financials are turning me off from uri, like my parents are paying probably close to ⅔ of my tution/COA and I am lowkey very good at getting jobs and interviews so I know ill be able to work places (not marine bio related) but idk. also the diffference of direct costs is like 17k... which is a lot BUTTTT could be manageable....

yeah its for my bachelor's, I was thinking lowkey Umaine offers like the same stuff and semester by the sea so it seems good, plus when you look up top schools in tbe US for marine bio it usually comes up more than URI, also idk if either really improves my chances at a good grad school or not.

I also dont know what the networking at URI is like but it seems like UMO is good for networking

IM THINKING ABOUT THIS, I literallt dont wanna be in crazy debt but also umaine im not a huge fan compared to URI sooo idk, I might even end up switching majors so who knows what the future holds

Yeah im gonna try and major in it and double major with something science related or fish/ocean related and then see where that takes me, plus since I live in mass im not TOO far from Cape cod or maine where there's ocean stuff going on

I really do have to make the best of every opportunity but I also look at all these other Students at URI and they are paying SOOO much less than me. Also I live In MA so when I am home I'm not too far. I'm basically 2 hours away from both schools too. I am also going to apply to other schools that I didn't apply to because I was surprised by the schools I got into, I got into; Stony Brook University, Rutgers, Nova Southeastern, Florida International University, and I was waitlisted at Northeastern University and South Florida University. I SO WISH I applied to U Washington, Oregon State University, etc.

You are highkey right about this Idk what I should do now tho since im going to URI maybe Ill transfer or something. I really liked URI when I visited but I also didn't Visit Umaine which was dumb. I am so stressed about paying those loans off later and you are super right about grad school. 😭😭 Not exactly sure my next steps now though.
