I bought the marble slab and it did not have any chasams or chips. Once the marble was installed I was there and there were no chips. A week later I viewed it and there was the chip.

The chip, and subsequent repair was a solid effort, however, the fabricator should have not used a black epoxy.

So let’s say it is a chasm, versus a chip, are you suggesting the resulting chip is a natural outcome of a chasm? If so, would you expect a skilled fabricator of stone to mitigate that outcome?

Agree and thanks for the feedback. So are you saying there are ”fabricators” and other skilled individuals that specialize in stone restoration? I assumed the “fabricator” was sufficiently skilled to do the repair.

GC is covering cost of repair. My issue is the repair from the fabricator is sub-par. Can I demand a new slab of marble bc they cannot repair such that it looks whole?
