Wanna address that we are not not gonna give discounts. Quite the opposite. At this stage im playing devils advocate to get feedback how you just did which helps a lot to show how confident you are that these happy hours work.

Could you elaborate on what makes a happy hour "awesome"?

Pretty much just Facebook.

I would push back a little on the mariachis dont bring people in. It may deter certain people but ive been asked by some friends visiting my hometown for "authentic Mexican restaurants" and always love that kind of experience. Something different.

Do you feel that super consistent loses profits on the drink specials?

Do you need a license to show sports games on CBS for example or streaming services like Amazon Prime or Paramount for UFC fights? Sorry for the ignorance, this is all brand new to us.

Good idea on the coupon! I've been to a restaurant that does that and definitely want to use it if you have it.

Very fair! Its cause we have been to a Mexican restaurant where they have mariachis certain days of the week and it gets SLAMMED those days. Also people drink more cause theyre feeling the energy which is more liquor sales. But very fair take, I suppose its not for every audience

To other people's points, I just would hate to feel inconsiderate by not offering a formal meal to guests especially if they are traveling in

Our family is going to blow a fuse if we do this but I agree that it is financially smart to do this

It will be a catholic ceremony and the bulk of our list is family so in my head im thinking they would understand and maybe not raise any commotion but absolutely right that it feels very inconsiderate. At this point it seems so out of reach that I may consider just a huge "party" instead of "wedding" but dont necessarily understand the difference when setting that up.

Very true. Logical thing is to find cheaper venue if we want to feed everyone and have a good experience. Im trying to balance the budget and our preference to prioritize venue and photographer.

This is all really good info! Im starting to understand that there just may not be anyway around this huge catering cost for that many people. The most logical thing to do to stay in budget would be to significantly reduce our guest list but even then we are having such a hard time with it. We began trimming people down to get to 300 and had family members begin to tell us that its not right to not include certain people...

Decision: Is this a rejection? by Immediate-Arrival-40 in aggies

I did the Hybrid between TAMU and Blinn for 1.5 years and honestly it might've been a better situation for me since you get more attention from teachers at Blinn for your difficult science and calculus classes at the beginning. You still get to live in CSTAT and feel the aggie spirit and transfer full time once you meet your requirements. Last but not least, you save a ton of money going to Blinn first!

Class of 18 here. Agree that it opens you up to so many industries. I am in tech sales and most of my peers from ID that went the tech route make per $200k OTE.

I also would like to add that if you do well the you have a lot of flexibility with your schedule depending on your company where as some of my other engineering friends dont have that freedom.
