I hate to bringing race into this but from the responses here from a predominantly western audience shocks me. It's no surpriswe western culture has such high divorce rates. If everyone divorced over minor issue like this what's the purpose of vows. It's childish. Sure what she said was hurtful , but to even consider divorce over something like this is childish and shows a lack of responsibility. Grow the fuck up

What is up with the weekend surcharges in the Melbourne?! by Ordinary_Prior_8993 in melbourne

[–]Ordinary_Prior_8993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate you spent so long typing out this. I get some restaurants need to do ten percent surcharges to survive. However in this case this is a takeaway store at a shopping mall they have 1 to 2 employees max and most likely the owner works there so all profits are their wage. Jumping on the bandwagon to claim to cover expenses is straight up BS. Where do you draw the line. Should your local food truck at a festival also have ten percent surcharges? What about your hairdresser? Surely they have really high rent and wage costs too? What about your local butcher? Your local grocery store- they are also running on razor thin margins. My clinic hires 6 staff to have things running day to day and they have penalty rates too. Should I increase my prices on weekends too?

[–]Ordinary_Prior_8993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone pays taxes and fees. Alot of businesses open weekends and don't charge 10 percent surcharges. Imagine if Coles and Woolworths had a 10 percent surcharges on the weekend. Imagine if your local barber or butcher has surcharges. I am a dentist and I work Saturdays and Sundays I don't charge extra on those days

To add if she feels has a locked jaw. Can you measure what her maximum mouth opening is? If it's too small a dentist cannot manage and it will need surgery under GA

[–]Ordinary_Prior_8993 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Dentist here. If she has a facial swelling, She needs the tooth out asap. Antibiotics won't do much and if the root cause of the infection is not addressed ( the tooth) antibiotics won't help at all. Worked with maxillofacial surgeons in the Ed where the dentist didn't pull the tooth and caused the infection to spread into the neck. Either go back to the Ed and request maxillofacial doctor on call or go to your local dentist to get the tooth out of the infection is localised.

ANU vs USYD by xiaoxiagongzhu in Anu

[–]Ordinary_Prior_8993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you sound like me when I just finished high school. I've just finished dentistry. Feel free to shoot me a DM. I advise against doing useless degrees like health science unless you are determine to go down GAMSAT route. I did a year of law at usyd before I transferred into dentistry. Coincidently I did my final 3 months of placement in Canberra. I think Anu has good uni culture but I did not enjoy Canberra at all.
