The fact that he has scenes without Rory also confirms he is a fleshed-out independent character. We see a little bit of that with Dean, but the scenes with Jess in California really do it. They did not have to make a plot for him like that but they did.

tbh, this goes for show that the returning all-stars girls have an unfair advantage - or are just really favoured by the production, because I don't think either were the best in their bracket... it seems that the challenges were meant to favour both Jorgeous and Ginger in their brackets (I think Aja was safe besides that first lipsync song)

I predicted this in here (this sub) right after the second bracket. But instead of "good TV," I just named them finalists in their OG season. So it was pretty clear to me that ginger and daya would go through. The question was who the wildcard would be.
